12 Things We Hope Will Happen in Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Infinity War ended with a massive cliffhanger leaving countless possibilities of the future in our minds. 7 months have passed since the film came out and in the meanwhile, we have come across plenty of rumours and updates coming in the next film, i.e. Avengers: Endgame. Even though we do not have any clue as to what will happen in the film, there is still quite a lot of stuff that we know will happen in the film. But having come across countless rumours and theories, there are so many things that we actually hope should happen in Avengers: Endgame. Here’s a list:

 1. All the Avengers should get new suits

Avengers: Endgame

It is a no-brainer that suits get changed with every new Superhero movie in order to sell more merchandise. With this particular film, we know that the Avengers will probably get new suits, but all the Avengers might not get to have those.

Avengers: Endgame

Especially with the disintegrated characters, it is not confirmed that whether they will get a new suit or we will see them continue in the ones they died in. Some leaked action figure catalogues have shown us the Quantum Realm suits of the Avengers, but for the final act of the film, we need to see all the Avengers unified with their new super suits.

 2. Red Skull gets a bigger role

Avengers: Endgame

With Infinity War bringing a new actor to play Red Skull, it is not crazy to think that Red Skull may actually appear in future films. So, we as fans expect him to return in Avengers: Endgame, as he was brought in Infinity War for a reason. Thanos should not be the only villain of the film, and rumor suggests that there’s an even bigger threat coming in, but Red Skull is among the good villains of the MCU, and if he is going to appear, then he should have a bigger role to play in the film.

 3. Vision returns with a Wakandan Upgrade

Avengers: Endgame

Infinity War really set the basis for Vision to return. The biggest hint was planted by Bruce Banner as he mentioned that even without the Mind Stone, there is a whole lot of Vision left. With Shuri probably being alive and having copied most of Vision’s consciousness, we could actually be seeing a newly formed Vision who has an upgraded look and will probably return even without the Mind Stone.

 4. Katherine Langford becomes the new Hawkeye

Avengers: Endgame

Clint Barton will have a totally different story arc in Avengers: Endgame as he takes the mantle of Ronin. But with Katherine Langford being cast in a mystery role in Avengers: Endgame, people really hope that she plays Kate Bishop, and becomes the new Hawkeye under the mentorship of Barton. It’s one of the most unlikely rumors, but seeing a future project with Jeremy Renner leading Langford to become the new Hawkeye would be really awesome.

 5. Hela Returns

Avengers: Endgame

Hela turned out to be a pretty good villain for the final Thor film, but there’s a lot that we didn’t uncover with her time in the film, so perhaps we will get to see Thor take a trip to Hel and there he seeks some answers from Hela, or Hela probably returns to the world of living and joins Thanos against the Avengers.

 6. Other people should wield the Infinity Gauntlet

Avengers: Endgame

There are rumors which suggest that a second snap will happen, but there is a lot of mystery that lies with the Infinity Gauntlet. We don’t know how the Avengers would end up fixing things, but we hope that reversing the effects of the snap will have to do something with the Infinity Gauntlet. So, to make things right, we will probably see someone else wield the Infinity Gauntlet for a change. It could be one or multiple people.

 7. Crossbones makes his brief return

Avengers: Endgame

Frank Grillo’s Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones got to spend a few bad-ass moments in the two Captain America movies that he was in. But reports have suggested that he will somehow return in Avengers: Endgame, even though Grillo, later on, ended up denying his appearance in the film. we still hope that those reports are true, and we get a bit more from Crossbones.

 8. Tony gets married to Pepper

Avengers: Endgame

While Tony is adrift in space, we do know that he will be rescued by Pepper who will don the Rescue Armor. So we know that he is going to survive. What we don’t know is whether he will survive the final battle or not. He is amongst the two most likely people to die, but he sure is the center of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we hope that he does get to have a happy ending without a death. We hope that Avengers: Endgame ends with Tony Stark’s wedding that also marks his retirement from the life of crime fighting and MCU itself.

 9. Avengers: Endgame pays homage to Age of Ultron

Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Infinity War was directly linked to the first Avengers movie, but it did not link itself to Age of Ultron, which like it or not was a really important film for the franchise as it set up the entire third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So, the story arcs which were laid down by Age of Ultron should be given a proper pay off, and we hope that we get to see the real relevance of the dreams that Scarlet Witch showed to all the Avengers.

 10. Ultron returns to some capacity

Avengers: Endgame

Just as Endgame should pay homage to homage to Age of Ultron, the best way to do that would be to bring Ultron back in some way or form. He certainly was not a bad villain but we did not get the best of him either. Tony could probably bring him back and use him against Thanos, or Ultron might still be alive as a villain himself.

 11. Captain America and Peggy get their dance

Avengers: Endgame

Now we don’t know how this is going to happen. Whether Cap could die and imagine his dance in his final dying moments, or he could be sent to the past where he reunites with Peggy yet again. But the dream sequence shown to Steve by Wanda has to have some relevance, so let’s see how their date happens in Avengers: Endgame.

 12. The Eternals are introduced

Avengers: Endgame

We know that we are going to get an Eternals movie in 2020, so what better way could be there other than to introduce at least one or some of them in Avengers: Endgame. That will not only hype the fans for the upcoming film, but it will also help people get more knowledge of who they are.

Honorable Mention – Quicksilver Returns

Avengers: Endgame

Pietro Maximoff is the hero we’ve seen the least of since he died in his very first MCU film. The only thing that this big bunch of heroes is missing is a speedster, so it would be good to have him back for a brief moment, or perhaps resurrect him for the future movies itself.
