K.G.F: Chapter 1 is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language action-period drama film whose background story is set in the Kolar Gold Fields. It was both written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale films.
It is the first installment in the two-part series, that would be followed by the Sequel : K.G.F: Chapter 2. The film stars Yash and Srinidhi Shetty in male and female leads respectively. Production work for the film was completed on Independence Day this year, i.e. 15th of August 2018. K.G.F: Chapter 1 is scheduled to be released on 21st of December 2018.
