Forbes India Celebrity 100 List is finally out and a number of stars from Industry found a spot in it. While Salman Khan bagged the first position, Deepika Padukone made a record by becoming the first woman celeb to enter the top 5 charts.
Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and many other names featured in the list. Alia Bhatt’s name also featured in the list of the richest Indians, but the fact that she has beaten boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor to fix the 12th number on the list for herself is really grabbing our attention.
As Ranbir has found himself on the 17th number on the list. Though Alia Bhatt did only one movie this year, Raazi, directed by Meghna Gulzar but she has beaten actresses like Anushka Sharma (ranked 16), Kareena Kapoor Khan (ranked 25) and Katrina Kaif (ranked 21). It is reported that Alia’s net earnings are approximately INR 58.83 crore, and Ranbir, riding high on the success of Sanju, is at INR 44.5 crore.
Ranbir and Alia, are busy shooting together with Ayan Mukherji’s superhero fantasy drama film Brahmastra, which is said to be the first film in the three-part franchise under the production banners of Dharma Productions. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is also shooting for Kalank with Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Kunal Khemu, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt in the pivotal roles. Kalank is expected to be released on 19th April 2019.
Also, her next movie with Ranveer Singh, Gully Boy is also ready to smash the theatres in February 2019, she will also be seen in Sadak 2 with Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt under Mahesh Bhatt’s direction. This would be the first movie of Mahesh Bhatt that features his daughter, Alia Bhatt. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor’s next project is the dacoit drama Shamshera with Sanjay Dutt.
The celebrities in the Top Ten of the list are Salman Khan being on the Top, Virat Kohli made it to the second, first sportsperson to bag this position in this showbiz personality dominance. Akshay Kumar found his spot on number three, and actress Deepika Padukone on the fourth.
Another sportsperson fixed his position in the Top ten is Mahinder Singh Dhoni at number five. Aamir Khan ranked sixth in the list followed by his Thugs of Hindustan co-star Amitabh Bachchan at seven. Ranveer Singh has also found his spot in Top ten at number eight followed by former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar at number nine and Ajay Devgn at number 10.
As for the women portrayal, there were 18 names on the list, three lesser than last year. Shuttlers, P. V. Sindhu and Saina Nehwal also have their names on the list at twentieth and fifty-eighth rank respectively. Female actors like Jaqueline Fernandez (ranked 40), Tapsee Pannu (Ranked 67), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Ranked 56), Priyanka Chopra, Shraddha Kapoor (ranked 70), Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Nayanthara, Bharathi Singh (ranked 74), Parineeti Chopra (ranked 83), Madhuri Dixit Nene (ranked 85) and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya (ranked 94) made to the Forbes India celebrity 100 List 2018.
