Sony has lost its rights to Peter Parker’s Spider-Man. But the comics have a way of giving you the thing you crave most if you have the guts to look the other way and find a window. Sony looked the other way and through that window, it found an opportunity, an opportunity so untapped that Sony did not even know what to do with it. But it decided to go along with it. It played along and lo and behold. We have Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the story of the second, lesser known character who also occupied the same mantle as Peter Parker as Spider-Man of the Marvel Comics Universe.
Yes, I know!! There are two Spidermen!! While MCU has the original one, the Miles Morales version is also worthy of praise. And the recently released first reactions to the Spider-Verse movie mean that our words actually hold water.

There were always doubts about Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse being a movie that would never live up to the audience’s expectations. The trailer proved them all wrong. Spider-Man is Miles Morales. Miles Morales is Spider-Man. But wait, there’s more. There is also Peter Parker in this universe.
And there is the newly introduced fan favourite that is Spider Gwen. There could be a plethora of other characters which the trailer did not let us get privy with. The early pre-release reviewers did and we have to say, their words speak nothing but gold about the movie.
Early reactions might not always be the best source of information when a superhero movie is concerned. You might have heard the movie to be good and relaized that it was actually really bad.
Then again, a good movie might be less successful at the Box Office due to bad mouthers in the early reviewers screwing up the chances of a movie’s success. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has got rave reviews from critics but we advise you to take everything that you will see now on in the article with a pinch of salt.
Some hard core Marvel fans claim that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is one of the best superhero comic book movies ever made. Is not that saying something?!?!
2018 has seen itself be jam-packed with movies like Black Panther, Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp and Avengers: Infinity War. Aquaman of the DC Extended Universe is another project to watch out for. So could Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse actually be the best movie of this year, considering the fact that Infinity War and Black Panther are already considered as one of the best movies of the decade!!
The trailer of the movie was filled with extremely vibrant and explosive graphics and action sequences. The trailer release was widely acclaimed. But there are other factors at play here. Spider-Man: into the Spider-Verse is still a movie that falls under the animation category.
And no matter how attractive the graphics might be, people will still look down on it just because of it belonging to a category that has been age stereotyped to belong to the kids section. We will have to wait and find out as to whether Spider-Man: into the Spider-Verse being the best movie of the year actually holds any water.
