‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Concept Art Reveals All 6 Layers That Make Up The Iron Man Armor

Seldom have we seen the popularity if a character in a franchise skyrocket in such a short time as Robert Downey Junior’s Tony Stark aka Iron Man of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s did. It feels just like Yesterday when Iron Man introduced RDJ as the titular character in 2008. Tony Stark has come a long way from that. From battling megalomaniac Artificial Intelligence to his own teammates to fighting otherworldly conquerors who commanded godlike powers, Iron Man has seen it all. To keep up with the times, Tony Stark has had to do a lot of tinkering with his suits, the latest of which called the Infinity War Iron Man armor is of a particular conundrum. We have no idea how it is from the inside. Fortunately, now we do. Presenting – Concept art reveals all 6 layers that make up the Infinity War Iron Man armor!!

Iron Man Armor

Every movie Tony Stark is featured in, he has a different bad boy covering his body up. In the first movie, we see the first iteration of the suit. Then came the Avengers, where see the Mark 7 at work. The second and third Iron Man suit was also new and had its own special set of abilities.

The former had an additional arsenal of high tech weaponry while the latter was extremely modular and could literally fly to Tony Stark and armor him up if need be. The Infinity War suit, on the other hand, was a class apart entirely. It could be stored within Tony Stark and was completely made of nanorobots.

They could multiply and heal the suit and even gave Stark the option of creating any form of weaponry out of scratch. It was with the help of this suit that Iron Man almost gave Thanos a run for his money on Titan, eventually earning his respect. Tony Stark is the only Avenger out of all the Earth’s mightiest heroes who has managed to earn even Thanos the Mad Titan’s respect.

So this begs us the question when Tony Stark calls upon his Iron Man suit, how does it develop around him? I mean we only saw a glimpse of it forming around his body at the beginning of the Infinity war movie. The rest of the movie Tony Stark was always in his suit. So we still do not have any idea about the intricacies of the suit. A concept art has come to our hands that might be able to solve that problem for us fans.

A post on Reddit solved that problem for us and could be credited for releasing the curtains. This is the picture in question:

Many say that the Infinity War suit is actually the reflection of Tony Stark’s personality and character. The suit, like him, is spontaneous and ever-changing. It is a part of Stark and behaves the way Stark commands it to because it is literally an extension of his own self.

The suit was inspired from the Marvel Comics’ Bleeding Edge armor from previous Iron Man issues. It shares similarities with a few other suits as well when it comes to look and appearance but the major portion of inspiration was the Bleeding Edge suit from the comic books itself.

Avengers 4 Trailer

Iron Man will be appearing next in Avengers 4 next year. Maybe then we will be finally able to see the next iteration of the Iron Man suit. Would he have ditched the nanotech suit and gone for something even more incredible? What could look even more amazing than the Infinity War suit? Guess we will have to wait and find out.

Avengers 4 Nick Fury

Iron Man appeared last in Avengers: Infinity War. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:

On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
