Avengers 4 Trailer Date:
Marvel is repeating the exact same thing that they did with Avengers: Infinity War. First, we got a big poster at Comic-Con, and then months later when Marvel fans almost died asking for the first trailer of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel brought it out in December. That shattered all the viewership records.
Now the same is happening with Avengers 4. Marvel didn’t officially release a poster, but there has been an official art out there for months, and now we are coming close to December yet again, and that is when we will surely have our first trailer!
While people believed that Marvel/Disney might release the first trailer this month before Ralph Breaks the Internet, so it could play in the theatres, but that certainly does not seem to be the case. Marvel is just repeating the same pattern that they did with Civil War and Infinity War.
Avengers 4 is coming out in May, so December would be the last resort for Marvel and they just have to release it 5 months before the film. For some people, it may be obvious that the trailer comes either in the final week of November or more likely right at the beginning of December, but now we have proof that this will, in fact, be the release window for the trailer.
We recently got an issue of the Captain Marvel Prelude comic and that revealed quite a lot of details about what Nick Fury had been up to for the last 3 years. It mentioned that Nick Fury was involved with the Prison Break from the Raft that allowed Cap to free Wanda, Sam, Clint & Scott.
After that, he and Maria Hill even tried to patch up the Avengers trying to explain it to Cap and Tony respectively. But that didn’t work out and the comic ended with Fury getting disintegrated & finally calling in Captain Marvel.
Right after we see Fury’s beeper signaling to Captain Marvel, this is what the final page reads:
So, the Avengers 4 prelude is due to come out on December 5, which obviously means that we will see the debut trailer for the film before that. Prelude comics always reveal intricate details about the upcoming film just the way the one for Captain Marvel has done recently, so instead of getting some major spoilers with the prelude, Marvel will surely like to give us the first look at the film through a trailer.
This means that the trailer and the title of Avengers 4 will be revealed almost 2 to 7 days before the Prelude is launched. That does make the December 1-2 date to be highly likely for the release of the trailer. So, it is time to begin the real hype for the film as Marvel will soon announce the official release date for the trailer.
If they do in fact decide to release the trailer before Ralph Breaks the Internet, then it would surely hit the net within this week, but it is likely that Marvel will follow the same pattern that they did with Infinity War.
Here’s what the writers of the film had to say about the unexpectedness of Avengers 4:
“Christopher Markus – [Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does. It is a different movie than you think it is…Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.
Stephen McFeely – Put it this way, I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same filmmaking team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re clearly connected, but they are definitely two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previous.”
Avengers 4 will arrive on May 3, 2019. Here’s the official Synopsis:
“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”
