Batman is still regarded as one of the greatest and most popular superheroes of all-time. Also, the fan base Batman has right now in the world is very huge and not many superheroes have the luxury of having such a big fan base. Batman doesn’t have magical powers or superhuman gifts. But, it’s the amount of money he possesses which makes him the superhero he is. Not just that, he also has a heart full of peace, truth, and the will to protect the world from all kinds of enemies.
Batman also trains his body a lot in order to be in shape and ready for any combat at any time. Also, he’s an excellent tactician and master of some clever tricks. But it’s not always easy to replicate the success of some Batman films in the past again and again in today’s time. So, despite all the expectations we have in our hearts whenever a movie associated with Batman comes in the market, fans just couldn’t help themselves from watching the films. 1. Joker
Todd Phillips’s Joker is going to be the only film in the list which is creating all the buzz and excitement among the fans as Joaquin Phoenix is going to play the role of Joker in this movie which is going to show the origin of Joker. The movie is set for release in the latter months of 2019. The movie is going to take us all in the core of Joker’s origin and a lot of people are waiting for the release of this movie as it promises to be a blockbuster after seeing all the pictures from the sets of the movie.
2. Batman Hush Animated
Sometimes it feels like Warner Brother’s animated department is doing a far better job than DCEU in terms of producing quality movies on a consistent base. There are reports according to DC Comics that, an animated version of one of the most famous Batman comic Hush is soon going to be released somewhere in the summer of 2019.
In 2002, the original 12-part novel was released and it featured a large chunk of some of the most famous villains of Batman, especially a boy named as Tommy Elliot, who tries his best in order to bring the Wayne Empire down to their knees and was named as Hush. The storyline of the animated movie is going to be cool and smooth but will be very emotional also.
3. Nightwing
The movie is going to be directed by Adam McKay, who is the director of Lego Batman Movies. The movie is going to follow the adventures of Batman’s very first partner named as Dick Grayson, aka Robin. It’s arguably the only character which is popular among the fans for a long time and to get a solo movie of Robin on the big screen with all the technology we have now with us. Surely this movie can change the way we look towards Robin. Despite, having no recent updates, there are rumors that we will see this movie on the big screen very soon.
4. Gotham City Sirens
Suicide Squad failed to touch the heights it was destined for and the only positive from the movie was the character of Harley Quinn which was portrayed exceptionally well by Margot Robbie. There’s a movie with the name of Gotham City Sirens which is currently in development according to the sources.
The hopes of seeing this movie just got increased after the reports of director David Ayer’s meeting with the Paul Dini, who is the creator of Gotham City Sirens. He is heading towards the inclusion of some famous Batman villains such as Catwoman and Poison Ivy could come in this one.
5. The Batman Lego Movie 2
This is surely going to make a lot of fans excited and happy as Will Arnett’s comedic, hilarious, and arrogant version of our beloved Batman has gained a lot of popularity and the second part of the movie is about to come, with reports of a possible release in 2019. The movie is going to be centered around the threat caused by DUPLO. Batman is going to join Emmett and Lucy in order to save Brickburg and all of its inhabitants. A lot of hopes are attached to this one and surely fans are waiting for the sequel.
6. Batgirl
We don’t know a lot about the development of this movie at this point but this is one of those characters who have the kind of backstory which can break some box-office records for sure but has been delayed by the makers for all these years. There were rumors that finally, it’s Joss Whedon who is going to write and direct this film. But, after his departure from his duties, the movie went to a hold again.
The script of the project has been penned down by Christina Hodson, who has already written scripts for the movies like Birds of Prey and Bumblebee. But, there are also some rumors which suggest that DC is turning their heads towards a Batgirl TV series. But, with scripts in their hand, all they have to do is to find a director who can handle a project like this.
7. The Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five: Animated
The animated side of DC is still far better in comparison to their realistic movies which aren’t a sort of competition for Marvel fans. But, their animated side is trying again and again in order to get success and they’ve gained some success after producing some great animated movies. So, it was announced that a new Justice League animated film is going to come in the spring of 2019. In this Batman and the whole league is going to cross their arms with the supervillains of the 30th century; Mano, the Persuader, The Emerald Empress, Validus, and Tharok.
8. Joker Movie Of Jared Leto
I know not many fans are going to get impressed from this one, but it’s true that DCEU is planning to make another film with Jared Leto who is going to portray the role of Joker again. The movie is going to be entitled as Harley Quinn and the Joker and is going to show their mad love story. The weird love story is going to be the agenda on DCEU’s primary list for now.
9. The Batman
Matt Reeves is the man who is going to direct this one as the previous thoughts of giving all the strings of directing, writing, and also of acting in the hands of Ben Affleck has been a talk of the past and his script has also been discarded by the makers.
But, it’s still unclear whether he will return for portraying the role of Batman or not because of his personal issues with the makers. There are also rumors that Jack O’Connell is going to join the film and is creating a lot of confusion in the minds of fans. But no matter what we all are seeing right now, this movie is going to come on board soon.
10. Birds Of Prey
Cathy Yan is the director of this movie and she is giving everything she has in her for the success of this movie. There are reports that the movie will come on the big screen in 2020. The movie is obviously based upon graphic novels which feature characters from the universe of Batman.
Also, Margot Robbie is going to reprise her role as Harley Quinn after getting a lot of applauds and praise from the critics. The movie is going to tell us about the journey of Harley Quinn in order to form a new team as she joins forces with Black Canary after having a break-up with Joker.
