We have had several set-reveals from Marvel’s upcoming Mega crossover event but this new Avengers 4 set photo has possibly confirmed a major theory going around the internet for the past 1 month or so. It is obvious that we will be getting new armours for both Iron Man and War Machine in Avengers 4 and we have even seen how amazing the new one for War Machine looks through leaked artwork. But we haven’t had our first look at the new Iron Man suit. We know that it will be an upgraded version of the Nanotech armour, and it will have the classic Iron Man color pattern with more Gold around the arms and legs.
The first trailer of the film will not give us many details upon the new suits of both War Machine and Iron Man but it can certainly give us the first look at it. As it goes with the progression of every Marvel movie that involves these two characters, their suits and weapons obviously improve. So we will obviously get to see massive upgrades for both War Machine and Iron Man. Perhaps this time War Machine is going to get a nanotech suit as well.
A month ago, the Russos tweeted the infamous “Look Hard” photo. People thought that the image was hiding the title of Avengers 4, but as it turned out, it was about the same tech which was in the back of the photo and spotted in Infinity War as well. People came to a conclusion that this was indeed the Proton Cannon that War Machine has had in the past Capcom vs. Marvel games.
It seems that the fans have been totally correct in spotting that as a new set photo has confirmed the fact that this is, in fact, a Proton Cannon and not some other device that will help in transporting the Avengers through the Quantum Realm or in the BARF tech. Now it will be interesting to see who among the two will be using this Cannon. The look goes better with War Machine’s suit and for once he also deserves to have something cool and absolutely Bad-ass as compared to Iron Man’s suit. He needs the real “Ex-Wife” this time.
But Tony has a knack for adding everything amazing within his own armour while Rhodey mostly gets all the guns and bullets. If the Proton Cannon comes with Rhodey’s armour than it is confirmed that he will have a Nanotech suit as well because that is the only way he could fit the entire Proton Cannon within his suit. Just imagine what War Machine could do with Nano tech!
We should be excited about the fact that Marvel could be announcing the title of Avengers 4 this month, and we could even get the first teaser within two weeks. Here’s what Infinity War and Avengers 4 co-writer Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely had to say in a recent interview about the upcoming mega-blockbuster:
“Christopher Markus – [Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does. It is a different movie than you think it is…Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.”
Stephen McFeely – Put it this way. I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same filmmaking team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re clearly connected, but they are definitely two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previous.”
