New ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Concept Art Shows Janet Holding A Mysterious Weapon

We all know what a great success ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ was in terms of the box office collection but have also claimed a lot of good reviews from the side of critics. So, the movie is again in the headlines because this is the much-awaited week when we are going to see MCU’s great and successful movie releasing on Blu-ray and DVD. To mark the occasion special Marvel Studios’ Senior Concept Illustrator named, Jackson Sze has posted an amazing and mysterious concept art for Janet Van Dyne, whose role has been portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer.

The illustrator has posted the photo of that concept art on his official Instagram handle and the moment it enters into the internet realm, all the fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe went mad and crazy as in the photo we can clearly see a whole different version of Janet Van Dyne but the main and important part of the photo is the weapon which we are seeing in her right hand. The weapon looks magical and mysterious at the same time. You can check out the photo below:

The maker of the concept art Jackson Sze has also captioned the photo with the caption mentioned below:

Antman and the Wasp is out on Blu-ray and 4K today. The bonus features include a video about our Visual Development Department here at Marvel Studios. Please check it out!
Magical Wizard Janet! Another take on Janet’s look in the Quantum Realm. I imagine she’s covered with Quantum particles, practically having bonded with that alien environment. Not sure what powers she has gained down there, and I thought it would be fun to give her something that looked like a magical staff.

In the photo we can see that Janet is still wearing some parts of her outfit as the original Wasp, but as we can see that in the early concept art Janet is holding a very mysterious weapon in her hands which raises a lot of questions on the character’s presentation.

In the design, we can also sense a lot of magical feel and on the other side if we take a look into the original costume which we have in the movie we see that a lot of changes have been made in order to reach to that final costume which is more of a Sci-fi one.

With the incoming of next year’s much-awaited gigantic film ‘Avengers 4’, the superhero is going to collect a lot of attention as we all know that Ant-Man is going to play a crucial role in dismantling the Mad-Titan if it’s possible. Also, the use of the quantum realm is on the cards for many.

Also, some fans are suggesting that it is Iron Man and Ant-Man who’ll travel through the Quantum realm in order to change some vital moments of the past. So, there are a lot of expectations and hopes hanging on the shoulders of Ant-Man and Peyton Reed have also suggested that he is planning to make a sequel of the movie because of the great success he and his team had with these two movies (Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp).

The director of the movie Peyton Reed has expressed his thoughts about the future of Ant-Man 3 by stating that:

“Well, I hope that we get to do a third one. I’m being completely sincere when I say we really don’t know yet, because I know in the run up to the next Avengers movie, everything is being played very, very close to the vest. But as we were writing and shooting this movie, we certainly set things up in this movie that we hope we get to pay off. And we talked a lot about everybody’s arcs and where we want everybody to go next. So, I’m really hopeful that we’ll get to do a third one, because I really do. I really have fallen in love with these characters and I think there’s a lot more story to tell with them.”

Ant-Man and the Wasp is the seventh highest grossing movie of 2018 and also the film has received a lot of applause for the humor, CGI’s, and the individual performances of film’s stars. The movie is out now on Blu-ray and also on Digital HD.
