Joker and Harley Quinn Spinoff Writers Reveal Interesting Details About the Movie

Whenever the names of these two, Joker & Harley Quinn come together, we just start feeling a sense of romance, love, madness, danger, and even blood. Arguably, the weirdest-yet-an-interesting love story is going to get a solo film on the big screen after getting a tremendous appreciation from the fans and people for their romance, partnership, and chemistry in the movie, Suicide Squad. This week was all about DC movies but mostly it was covered with Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker and now the solo movie of these two is also under construction. The love Harley has for Joker is immense and weird as we all know how much pain Joker can be to her, he also abuses her but still, she ignores all his bad behavior because she loves him a lot. Joker also somewhere deep inside needs her presence around him.

The glimpses of their toxic and weird love have been shown in the movie, Suicide Squad and sometimes it was a pain to the eyes to see the level of toxicity they have in their relationship. But, it’s always fascinating and interesting to see a love story of this sort which sure is one of its kind in the world. Also, the screenwriters, Glenn Ficarra, and John Requa shared about the madness of this weird couple while talking to Metro. They said,

“We had so much fun, I don’t know if we have had more fun writing a script in our career. It was sort of like, we wrote “Bad Santa” a couple of years ago, and it was that sensibility mixed with our “This Is Us” sensibility. We kind of meshed them together.” They also added that, “we were doing a relationship movie but with the sensibility of a “Bad Santa,” F*** up, mentally deranged people. It was a lot of fun.”

Both the screenwriters also revealed that they want to start the movie with the kidnapping of that very popular enemy of their (Harley & Joker) loving relationship, Dr. Phil and also stated the reason. They said,

“Because her and the Joker are having problems with their relationship.”

But, they also don’t know the place where the film will have its place in the current queue of DCEU.

Aquaman Arthur Curry's Big Mission

Aquaman is the movie which is going to come first as it is scheduled to be released on December 21, 2018. The movie is going to be directed by Australian Film director James Wan (Conjuring, Furious 7, Insidious: Chapter 2, and many other famous ones) as the story is about Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) who is a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdoms of Atlantis. He is caught in a battle between surface dwellers that threats his oceans and his own people who are ready to lash out and invade the surface.

The movie also has Patrick Wilson and he’s playing the role of Orm/Ocean Master, who is Curry’s Atlantean half-brother and ruler of Atlantis. He seeks to unite the seven underwater kingdoms to declare war on the surface world out of belief humanity the seas.

After Aquaman, it’s Shazam! which is going to set the tides even higher for DC because it’s the kind of movie which was needed by DC for a very long time. After having perfected the art of dark cinema and focusing too much on the characters of their superheroes, maybe they finally agreed to the world who wants a little bit of fun, humor, and entertainment even in the superheroes’ movies. Shazam! is scheduled to release on April 5, 2019.

So, we can see that there are a lot of films in the line for DC. After that, there’s also the big film that set the tone of DC and also of the female superheroes in the world, Wonder Woman 1984 which is scheduled to be released on November 1, 2019.

Apart from all those big movies in line, we will also get to see Cyborg (2020), Green Lantern Corps (2020), Birds of Prey, and many more in the coming years. All of this clearly suggests that DC can really have a great chance to be at the top or to a higher place than this. Harley & Joker’s love story will also be a huge hit, no matter whenever it’ll come.
