Chris Hemsworth Will Partner With His ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Pal For ‘MIB’

The resurrection of the movie “Men in Black” is on full-course and with stars like Chris Hemsworth, Liam Nesson, Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall, and Tessa Thompson. The movie is having the votes of some big critics with them to be a success; also the director on duty is none other than the famous F. Gary Gray (The Negotiator, The Italian Job, and The Fate of the Furious) on their side.

So, a lot is happening on the sets of “MIB” and to give us a look of the sets Chris Hemsworth has shared a small video from the sets of the movie where he and his partner Tessa Thompson saw having some fun during the tough life of shooting. Also, Emma Thompson is going to play her huge role again as she’ going to portray the role of “Agent O” whom we have seen in the past movies as the head of the American branch of the Men in Black organization and will play a big part in connecting the trilogy with this new film.

Chris Hemsworth Will Partner With His ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Pal For ‘MIB’

It’s hard to say anything about the plot of the movie as nothing has been said out from the people behind closed doors but surely with so many new faces around we can sense that they’re going to expand the universe of the Men in Black team with the film’s focus on London in the initial stages and will later join the menace at U.K. with rumors of Liam Neeson playing the role of U.K. branch of the alien-investigating agency. The role which is quite similar to the role Rip Torn has played. With movie loosely based on the Malibu/Marvel comics of the same name by Lowell Cunningham.

Tessa Thompson has played a very crucial role in “Thor: Ragnarok” and has shown his acting credentials in many movies. But, with Chris Hemsworth standing with her in one frame, it’s very hard not to reimagine them as “Thor and Valkyrie”. Tessa has played the role of a tough, hard-drinking Asgardian slave trader, based on the mythological being Brynhildr, who was once a legendary warrior of the Valkyrior and now works for the Grandmaster under the designation “Scrapper 142”.

She has also shown his dedication when it comes to give everything for getting into the skin of a character as she was inspired by Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) while training for the role and has worked with dialect coach Andrew Jack to create an Asgardian-sounding accent.

Hemsworth has expressed his thoughts on the upcoming movie by stating that, “We’re basically trying to put a lot of humor into it like the previous ones. These are obviously some big-big shoes to fill, so we’re working our butts off on it to make something pretty epic and fun. They’re trying to change up the locations, make it feel unique and different to the last ones as well. So, I think you might even see some different countries, maybe. Some different cities than you’ve seen in the previous Men in Black movies.”

On December 10, 2014, it was reported that Sony is planning a crossover between “Men in Black” and famous “Jump Street”. The news was leaked after Sony’s system was hacked and then confirmed by the directors of the Jump Street films, Chris Miller and Phil Lord during an interview about the hacking and leakage of the news. James Bobin was also announced as the director in 2016. But, with all this development on rumors and papers, it has since appeared to cease because of many reasons.

So, with many rumors being broken in the past and happily a Men in Black movie coming back and making us all feel a little nostalgic, it’s a very big burden on the shoulders of the whole team as we all know about the success all the three films has had. With “Men in Black” collecting an amount grossed over $589 million, “Men in Black II” got mixed reviews but still collected $441 million worldwide, and with “Men in Black III” breaking all the records of the past as it collected a lot of positive reviews and grossed $624 million worldwide.

So, this franchise has been a hit in both the minds and the hearts of the audiences which puts pressure on this new upcoming film which is scheduled to be released on June 14, 2019.
