‘Avengers 4’ Fan Theory Reveals How Thor’s Ex-Girlfriend Jane Foster Could Return

After Avengers: Infinity War, when we say a character is about to return, most people are kind of happy. The ending of that movie left everyone reeling. No one expected death and destruction of this caliber when they heard that Thanos the Mad Titan was coming to town. But he did and he made sure that his name will echo through the legends of this planet forever.

Thanos did what no other villain before him could do in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He did not just make the Avengers bleed he broke them into pieces, literally and figuratively.

But there might be a character that has escaped the snap and is still awaiting judgment. The character we are referring to might return in Avengers 4 and here’s how.

The Romantic interest of Thor Odinson has escaped judgment and will soon reveal herself in the next Avengers flick. And trust us when we say this, she will be pivotal to the storyline of the Avengers 4 according to this fan theory.

The theory explains how she might return. Her return is actually backed by some major Marvel comics references if this theory is to be truly trusted. Here’s what it says:

In Thor The Dark World, Jane Foster refers to an Asgardian machine as a “Quantum Field Generator”. Could her rumored involvement in Avengers 4 have to do with the Quantum Realm? from r/FanTheories

The Quantum field generator is an Asgardian technology that Jane Foster first saw in Thor: The Dark World. It was used to examine her body which was infected by an ancient Norse artifact called the Aether.

The Aether is now better known as the Reality Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones that helped Thanos wipe out half of all life in the Universe. Foster has explained the technology by saying that the machine transfers molecular energy from one place to another.

This was in reference to the Soul Forge of Asgard, a critical medical instrument used as a scanner and for a multitude of other purposes.

And how is this all related to Avengers 4 again? Remember Ant-Man and the Wasp? The movie that introduced us to the fantastical world of Quantum Realm!! Turns out, the scientific jargon that Foster spilled out when she first saw the Soul Forge is kind of similar to the concept of the Quantum Realm.

To put it in even simpler terms, the Soul Forge and the Quantum energy coming out of the realm that Ant-Man is currently trapped in, use or are at least based on the same kind of energy.

This opens up a world of possibilities, chief amongst them being that Jane Foster will be the key to releasing Ant-Man from the Quantum Realm and helping the Avengers travel back in time to stop the snap from ever happening in the first place.

The ensemble “Infinity War” cast is simply astounding as Marvel studios has assembled A-list actors under one roof including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Chris Pratt (Starlord), Chris Evans (Captain America), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Reiner (Hawkeye), Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange), Benedict Wong (Wong), Tom Holland (Spiderman), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Evangeline Lily (Wasp), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Dave Bautista (Drax), Vin Diesel (Groot), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel).

The brief plot synopsis for Avengers 4 reads:

“A culmination of 22 interconnected films, the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”
