Here’s How The Sony-Marvel Spider-Man Deal Completely Spoiled The Surprise of Avengers 4

Avengers 4 is coming out in almost 10 months and there is no other movie that people are as hyped about. MCU bring us 3 movies every year and we all are excited about each of them, but when one of those movies is an Avengers feature, there is no doubt that preference for that is going to be much more than the other two films. 2018 brought us Black Panther, Infinity War and is about to put Ant-Man and the Wasp out. 2019 will bring us Captain Marvel, Avengers 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home, and it is easy to say that Avengers 4 will be bigger than the other two.

But the fact that Avengers: Infinity War killed the Web-Head, and there is a Spider-Man sequel right after Avengers 4 does take away from the impact that Avengers: Infinity War would have had upon us if we would not have a sequel confirmed to come out just months after Avengers 4. Sony has a deal with Marvel that says Spidey will have to appear in 3 solo movies and apart from that, he will also feature in 3 team up movies. Also, Marvel has to launch a solo Spider-Man movie every 2 years, which is why Marvel had to schedule Spider-Man Far From Home to come out right after Avengers 4.

Since there were so many other heroes who were Disintegrated along with Spidey after the Big Snap, and three of them were the ones who just got their first solo movie would have been way more shocking to see if the info about their upcoming sequels would not have been known to us. Spider-Man’s death was the most sorrowful of all, and if people did not actually know about Avengers 4, the feeling would have been even more pure since no one would have known for sure whether these dead characters are going to return somehow or not.

The Directors and the writers of the two Avengers movies keep on saying that the characters who turned to dust in Infinity War are Permanently Dead even though they have future sequels to come in. The writers said upon the death of the web head that “The sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.” But no matter what they all may say, the fact that a sequel is in play with one of these dead characters does surely confirm the fact that Spider-Man and all the disintegrated characters will return in Avengers 4.

The return of these heroes would feel amazing as they are going to unite with the ones that are still alive. The feeling while we look at that would be sacred and it would have been way too surprising if we already did not know that they are going to return one way or the other. Even though many of the actors whose characters died in Infinity War have confirmed a return in Avengers 4, the start of all this was given by Spider-Man: Far From Home.

If a Spider-Man 2 was not already confirmed beforehand and Marvel would have kept the info about Avengers 4 tight we could have never known for sure that what is going to happen in Avengers 4. But Kevin Feige himself mentioned in the past that Peter Parker will introduce us to the post-Phase 3 MCU, so Avengers 4 was already kinda ruined by that.

The big blame for this, as we have to say goes to the deal that Sony and Marvel have for Spider-Man. Well, since the makers do keep on insisting that these characters are dead, there would surely be a truth to that. So, this will lead to the return of these heroes in a way which is not yet known to us. It will have to be either through a change of timeline by altering the past, or we could get the introduction of Multiverse. The timeline theory sounds much better.

We will only know when Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019. Here’s the official Synopsis:

“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”
