John Connor comes again to save Humanity from the bloodthirsty machines in the next installment to the Terminator franchise. The Terminator franchise has been suffering a huge downfall in recent years. The one to have been given the honor of portraying a young John Connor is none other than the famous child actor Jude Collie. He along with Brett Azar will be playing the part of John Connor and the T-800. Collie and Azar are in actuality CGI stand-ins for Eddie Furlong’s John Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 from the original Judgment Day movie timeline. So does this mean we will see, Eddie Furlong’s face swapped onto the body of Collie? Will Azar also see a similar outcome when the movie releases?

Here is the official first look of the young John Connor:

Plot details for Terminator 6 are scarce and the Studio is being extremely secretive as to not reveal much that could spoil the surprise. What we know so far is that the movie Terminator 6 will be the direct continuation of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the most successful movie of the franchise till date. The movie will feature new as well as old characters. It will basically be a passing the torch moment for the legacy Terminator characters like Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 Terminator to make way for newer and younger characters to the franchise as the older characters are phased out of the movies.

The movie will feature a young woman (whose identity still remains unknown) as the lead character and features supporting roles from both old and new actors to the franchise. The timeline for Terminator 6 will be based on the events that take place right after Terminator 2. It is also possible for the movie to feature Time Travel and/or flashbacks thus allowing previous, well-known franchise characters to make their way into the movie.

The actors that have been confirmed to be a part of the sixth Terminator movie are Gabriel Luna, Mackenzie Davis, Diego Boneta and Natalia Reyes. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton will be coming back to reprise their iconic roles as the T-800 and Sarah Connor in the movie. What is even more interesting is that James Cameron, the one who is Godfather of the Terminator franchise and whose idea is on what the Terminator stories are based on, will be finally returning to Terminator 6 after the Studio rights to the franchise comes to an end with the release of Terminator 5. He will be the movie’s chief Producer.

The movie will also feature Tim Miller as the Director. David S. Goyer of Batman Begins fame, Charles Eglee of Dark Angel and Josh Friedman of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be writing the script for Terminator 6. The objective of Terminator 6 is to eventually pave way for a trilogy with each movie that could be both considered a standalone as well as a part of an overarching story arc.

Terminator 6 is set for release on November 22, 2019. Production is currently underway. The filming locations for the movie are scattered throughout the globe including locations like Hungary, Budapest and even Saudi Arabia.
