Avengers 4 is the movie we all are waiting for as it is going to be the biggest movie of the 21st century. After Avengers: Infinity War completely shocked us Avengers 4 is expected to blow our minds to pieces. It is going to be even bigger than Infinity War as it will bring in even more characters, while the characters who died towards the end of Infinity War will also return in the film. People have even more questions for Avengers 4 than they did for Infinity war. But one thing for sure is that Thanos is going to make his return.
Since the Black Order is out, and the Heroes will be joined with some more faces like Hawkeye, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and many more, it is only fair that Thanos will also be joined by other Villains as well. Red Skull made a surprise return to the MCU in Infinity War and since it was a different actor playing the role, it is highly likely that he could return to the movie. Major set photos and rumors have almost confirmed that the Skrulls will also have a minor role in Avengers 4.
There are rumors that also suggest that Hela is going to make a comeback in the film. Also, Ultron is also rumored to have some sort of appearance in there somewhere. Loki has already been confirmed to appear in a time travel sequence according to the set photos. Abomination is also expected to make a return in order to take on the Hulk. So, along with the Major heroes, we may actually see a lot of villains come into the mix as well.
Infinity War Screenwriters had a lot of characters to add and juggle in these two movies. Since Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus have also written all three Captain America movies along with these two Avengers movies, they have had a big arsenal of characters to add into these movies. They, recently appeared in a Q&A on Kevin Smith and Marc Bernardin’s most recent episode of ‘Fat-Man on Batman’ and there they revealed the character they really love and have tried to put into the MCU, but still haven’t been able to do so till now.
Here’s what the two said:
“Markus – There are characters who I love who I’m sure someone else will get a hold of and do great things with. We’ve never tried to put them in.”
McFeely – But we get to put them in. Like we get to put Zola in two movies ya know?”
Markus – I’ve wanted to put M.O.D.O.K. in, and it’s very hard to go ‘here’s the supporting character the giant head’.’ And then we’re going to get on with the story. We just came to him for information. Like you kind of have to design the whole movie around the guy with the giant head. I have love for M.O.D.O.K. and I still think properly done he’d be terrifying. Like you look all the way down the hall and like this huge head comes around the corner and starts coming and…oh, it would be awesome.”
Well, M.O.D.O.K was already rumored to have an appearance in Infinity War ever since the news got out that Peter Dinklage is going to appear in the film. But as it turned out, Dinklage played the role of Eitri the Dwarf. But since the two screenwriters are wishing for the character to be in the MCU, is it possible that they are already teasing the entry of M.O.D.O.K in Avengers 4?
Well, Guardians of the Galaxy has explored the cosmos and brought in some really weird looking characters, so it is highly possible that M.O.D.O.K could be flying into the MCU in the very last movie of Phase 3 and the screenwriters already think that he could easily fit into the grounded world of the MCU. Even if is not the big villain now, he could be set up as a future villain in Phase 4.
