Avengers 4 – Why The Original Avengers Survived In Infinity War

Infinity War is probably the best movie of the year, and the only movie that is going to go past that will be next year’s Avengers 4. The fourth Avengers movie is going to be even bigger than Infinity War and it is going to be a grander stage than what Avengers 3 had brought in. There are going to be even more characters in the movie and as we all know, the big bad Thanos is going to return to threaten the very existence of the Universe once again.

Infinity War had the most number of characters than any other movie has ever had. We got to see around 25 Supers in one single movie and the way they were placed in the plot was literally a masterstroke by the Directors and the writers. The next movie is actually going to bring almost all of those heroes back somehow, and it is going to add the ones who missed out in that movie. Infinity War had a really shocking and tragic ending as Thanos did the unthinkable and we lost many of our favorite Superheroes.

But we could also say that Infinity War was ended pretty smartly. It not only hit us right in the feels, by getting rid of so many characters the movie made way for others to shine in Avengers 4 in lieu of bringing back those dead characters. Now amongst those dead were some names that did not get much to do in Infinity War while some did quite a lot. Out of all, we noticed that 3 of the future franchise holders and potential big guns of the New Avengers, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange. Their deaths were extremely surprising. Along with them, we saw all the Guardians perish except for Rocket and Nebula. Bucky, Sam and Wanda were also taken out by the effects of Disintegration.

The ones who survived were Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Banner, Rocket, Nebula, War Machine Okoye and M’Baku. Other than them, the ones who are presumed to be alive and have confirmation for the next movie are Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Valkyrie & Korg (possibly). So this is a pretty healthy roster itself, and we are going to see them kick a lot of butt in Avengers 4. Now we all have noticed that the original 6 Avengers that appeared in the first Avengers movie have survived and will be getting the spotlight in the upcoming mega event.

They obviously had to be in this huge movie because they are the ones who started it all. Fans would have completely lost their minds if any one of these would not have made it to the final stage, especially Hawkeye. Hawkeye did not have an appearance in Infinity War and if he would have turned to dust without doing anything, then it would have a total waste and disrespect to one of our favourite MCU characters. Thankfully, he will have a major role in Avengers 4.

While it is going to be pretty nostalgic for us to see all 6 of the original Avengers team up once again along with other big guns as well, Marvel President Kevin Feige has revealed the real reason why these 6 surely survived the Big Snap of Thanos. Here’s what he said in a recent interview with io9 about crafting the plot of these two movies:

“I think for a film series that is going on 10 years and is gearing towards a conclusion with Avengers 4, which you don’t usually have in these kind of movies, you can sort of do the math. And realize it’s the original Avengers that are left.”

Well, they obviously could not have killed all the others that were added to the team later. The plot of the next movie is going to be extensive, and it will need different characters like Ant-Man and Captain Marvel to step in, so we may not have something very repetitive. This is another reason for the 6 to survive as they would have been important for the plot of Avengers 4.
