The Terminator Franchise is coming back on the big screen next year and for one last time, we are going to see Schwarzenegger as the role we love him the most in. A generation has grown old watching Schwarzenegger play the legendary T-800 Cybernetic Organism. Now, another Generation of fanboys will watch him retire from this franchise while someone else takes on the mantle to become the next Terminator.
The first two Terminator movies directed by James Cameron are considered to be one of the greatest action films and from there on, Schwarzenegger became the king of Hollywood. He was the big bad in the first movie, but looking at how amazing he was in this role, he was cast as the protagonist in the nest one. Terminator: Judgement Day was without a doubt the best movie in the franchise. After that James Cameron left off doing his own thing, developing Titanic and Avatar, while Hollywood screwed the Terminator franchise not once, not twice, but thrice.
Since T3, T4 and T5 were really bad, T6 is totally ignoring the existence of those movies, and it will continue as a sequel of Judgement Day as James Cameron is back to the franchise, overseeing things and writing a Trilogy. Terminator 6 will be directed by Deadpool director, Tim Miller.
Since a pair of a revolutionary Director who established himself with Deadpool and probably the best Director in Hollywood are teaming up to bring us a new Terminator movie, we know that it will not be a screw up like the other three that came out post 2000s. Also, the reason why this movie will be huge because of the set of screen writers attached in the name of , David S. Goyer, Justin Rhodes, Billy Ray and Justin Friedman who will be penning down the script for this movie.
The best thing about this one is that Linda Hamilton who played Sara Conner in the first two Terminator movies is going to be back for the sixth one and that may be yet another reason to why this movie is going to be a big success. As we know, the story of the sixth movie will be based upon what happened in the first two Terminator movies, ignoring all other 3 bad Terminator movies. Well, the continuity has been a sort of issue for the Terminator franchise post Te2, so why not fix it with a proper T3 in the name of T6.
James Cameron said that he is looking for a young cast for this movie in order to pass the Baton to:
“We’re starting a search for an 18-something woman to be the new centerpiece of the new story. We still fold time. We will have characters from the future and the present. There will be mostly new characters, but we’ll have Arnold and Linda’s characters to anchor it.”
T6 recently added another young star to the cast of the movie who will probably become the new Terminator and take the mantle from Schwarzenegger. The reason why fans will be happy about this is that Gabriel Luna who plays the current Ghost Rider in the MCU appearing in Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will be playing a new Terminator who menaces Dani Ramos. Along with him, Natalia Reyes and Diego Boneta are also confirmed to join the cast of T6 for unspecified roles. So, Cameron may have found his young actors he would be looking to pass the Baton to.
Now, a new update upon the movie states that Tim Miller and Co have hired a new actor to play the young version of Schwarzenegger’s T-800 and the movie will simply be called Terminator. Actor Brett Azar, who played Arnold’s younger version of Terminator in Terminator: Genisys will now return to do the same in T6. His face was CGId with Schwarzenegger’s face but the body motion and everything else was displayed by him only. So we could expect some big action sequence related to a similar scene having a younger T-800.
‘Terminator’ will come out on November 22, 2019 as the movie’s release date was recently delayed due to the recent heart Surgery that Arnie was involved with. Hopefully, Arnold goes out with a great movie retiring from the character.
