Here Are The Artifacts That Are Even More Powerful Than Infinity Stones!

The comic books are filled with mystical artifacts that make its wielder God or something as close as possible. The DC Universe has the Anti Life Equation, the mother Box, the Power Rings and the Helmet of Nabu. The Marvel Comics Universe is also home to such tremendously powerful artifacts. The Cosmic Cube, the M’Kraan Crystal, the Eye of Agamotto and last but not the least, the Infinity Stones. The Infinity Stones were only popular among the comic book fan base as stones of primordial power that give the user complete control over one of the six aspects of the universe.

Their popularity surged after Marvel Studios decided to feature them in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the object of Thanos’ quest to help wipe out half of all life in the universe in Avengers: Infinity War. In the comic books though, the story of the Infinity Stones has taken quite an interesting turn of events. You think only the MCU infinity Stones’ story was changed for the better? Think again. Presenting Marvel Comics Update – There is now an artifact even more powerful than Infinity Stones!!

Infinity Stones have always been at the epicenter of most of the Marvel Comics crossover arcs. The Stones, which were first featured in The Thanos Quest back in the 1980’s have since had been pretty famous in the comic books as extremely powerful objects of power. They recently made an appearance in the latest Marvel Comics’ Infinity Countdown. The storyline focuses on the superheroes and the supervillains trying to get their hands on the Infinity Stones to either use their power for their own ends or to keep them from falling into the wrong hands.

While that is a story for another time, we have a completely new topic to discus right now, a topic that might prove pivotal for the fate of Thor and the larger Marvel universe. What if, in the race to retrieve the powerful Infinity Stones, the heroes of the marvel Universe forgot that the marvel Universe also has other artifacts with power equal to or even greater than the Infinity Stones of the Marvel Universe?

There are several such artifacts that could rival the power of the Infinity Stones. There is the Cosmic Cube, a Cube that can alter reality and grant you literally any wish you desire. The Cube was what the Marvel Cinematic Universe was originally aiming for when Captain America: The First Avenger hit the screens earlier this decade. The Tesseract became the Space Stone only later on. Marvel’s original plan involved using the Cosmic Cube’s as objects of powers. That much was clearly noticeable from The First Avenger movie.

There is also the Heart of the Universe. The Heart of the Universe is the life node of the whole of creation. It never made its cinematic Universe appearance in the MCU. Coincidentally, it was Thanos that conquered the power of the Heart of the Universe in the acclaimed comic book story arc Marvel: The End. Warlock then defeated Thanos to literally reset the universe.

There is also one more artifact that could rival the power of the Infinity Stones. It is the Ultimate Nullifier – a gadget that is powerful enough to defeat even a cosmic being like Galactus. But it happens to be a creation of Reed Richards and so will never find a place in the MCU until Fox Studios lets go of their rights.

So which artifact are we talking about here??  Surely, it is not the ones we mentioned above. The artifact in question is actually a new one. It hasn’t been mentioned in the MCU or the marvel Comics Universe up until now. It is a new object of power that holds the same level of power as an Infinity Stone.

To be precise, it holds as much power as the Time Gem from the Marvel Comics. An Asgardian ancient weapon that holds as much power as the precious Eye of Agamotto hanging around the neck of Doctor Strange from the Marvel Cinematic Universe sounds pretty preposterous. But as it turns out, it is indeed true.

But what if, in the race to retrieve the Infinity Stones, the heroes forgot that the Marvel Universe also has other artifacts with power equal to or even greater than the Infinity Stones of the Marvel Universe?

Marvel Comics has given us their first look at one such extremely powerful artifact. In The Mighty Thor: At the Gates of Valhalla #2, one such artifact makes an appearance. In this issue, the granddaughters of King Thor of a future timeline – Frigg, Elissiv, and Atli encounter one such object that could change the destiny of the Marvel Universe forever.

Thor’s three granddaughters made their first appearance in the comic books in Thor: God of Thunder #18. They have since made numerous other guest appearances when Jason Aaron was in charge of the title run of the issue. The three goddesses of Thunder really look up to their grandfather, considering Thor as their greatest inspiration and idol.  That is why they decided to use this artifact to travel back in time to the All-Grandfather’s prime years as a superhero and God of Thunder.

Thors’ two of the three granddaughters – Atli and Frigg are free-spirited Asgardians that mostly spend their day having fun but Elissiv, the third granddaughter of Thor, is pretty inquisitive and curious. She spends most of her time researching about Asgard’s history. The three granddaughters encounter gemstones called the Time Diamonds, which are pretty much like the Time tone if it is crushed into a million pieces.

The Gates of Valhalla takes place in a future timeline and the Goddesses of Thunder just used the time diamonds to travel back to the present one. What repercussions do their actions hold? Will the three granddaughters of Thor end up influencing Thor’s life to such an extent that the future will be changed forever? The Granddaughters do not know how to use the Time Gemstones. And they most certainly did not stack up a lot of them before recklessly traveling back in time. What fate does the universe hold for these young Asgardians?

The three granddaughters of the very Norse God of Thunder sounds like a bit too much for the Marvel Comics doctrine. The Granddaughters traveling to the past to meet their own grandfather Thor, someone they look up to sounds even stranger. The fans think that the three goddesses of thunder traveling to the past and meeting their own grandfather just might be what fate desires.

Maybe the daughters end up influencing their own present timeline by traveling to the past. Maybe they end up helping their grandfather in more than one occasions, considering they do not have any more time diamonds in their possession nor do they know how to use them to come back to the present time anyway.

marvel Artifact Even More Powerful Than Infinity Stones

What is the origin story of the Time Diamonds? Are they as powerful as the Time Stone? Are the Infinity Stone and the creation of the Time Diamonds somehow connected?? There are a lot of questions the Marvel Comics need to answer in the later issues of The Gate s of Valhalla. Let’s hope the secret, when revealed, does not let us down.

The Infinity Stones of Marvel Comics made their latest on-screen appearance in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Avengers: Infinity War. It is currently playing in theaters. The official film synopsis for the third Avengers movie reads:

“Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment”.
