The Brand New Aquaman Movie Footage Displayed

With Justice League not performing as expected DC needs to fire their trump card! The biggest names in the DC Universe have not done a lot of good on the big screen till now, and their biggest team-up movie that cost WB a whole lot of money did not even make a profit at the box office. So, people behind the scenes have to figure new things out. This is probably why WB has appointed Walter Hamada to look over things related to the DC universe. Taking things slow from here one, WB is figuring things out and they are only bringing out Aquaman this year.

Aquaman was one of the coolest aspects of Justice League. Even though a lot of Aquaman scenes were cut off from the movie, Aquaman still was a great part of this epic team up. Now his upcoming solo movie will make him look like a total bad ass, and the days when Aquaman used to lead the meme game will be long gone. Jason Momoa was the perfect casting for this role, and full credits for that go to Zack Snyder.

Aquamomoa will be here very soon, and even sooner than that, we are going to get a brand new trailer for the movie. Till now, we haven’t seen anything from the movie. Aquaman recently went through some reshoots, so the special effects team would be hard at work. This is probably why a trailer has not hit the net just yet. Also, there is a fair bit of time left before the movie comes out, so a trailer could come out either later or sooner.

Cinema Con 2018 is taking place in Las Vegas right now, and last night, the lucky ones who attended the event got to see the new trailer of Ant-Man and the Wasp. Needless to say that it was amazing. Cinema Con also brought in the new Venom trailer, and since the most important part of the trailer got leaked, Sony came out and released the trailer online. That was probably the best move Sony could make because the timing was just perfect.

So, an Aquaman trailer may also be around the corner. For now, we have the description for the footage showed at Cinema Con, and here’s how it went:

“I can’t believe your finally here,” someone says. The camera dives into the water. A ship soars through the water. A gladiator match seems to be coming. The ship enters Atlantis, with several ships ferrying in and out. The Ocean Master stands in the coliseum, rallying the crowd against his brother who will challenge him for the throne. Arthur trains on the beach. He’s younger and catches the quindent with his bare hands, just before his face. He lifts a submarine from the water. He kicks ass insode the sub. Above water, he tells Mera he is a “blood instrument” and he’s “damn good at it”. Mera begs Arthur to help so “millions of people” don’t die. Water crashes on land. Dafoe’s character tells him to go “deeper” to discover his Atlantean instincts, before being revealed in a leather-y black costume. Black Manta looks ripped from a comic, with glowing red eyes. A war between an army on foot underwater and men riding sharks ensues. The Ocean Master promises to bring the”wrath of seven seas.”

Aquaman is coming along with Mera, and the casting for that has also been perfect with Amber Heard. Patrick Wilson is playing the villain of the movie, Orm and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is playing Black Manta. Here’s  what Jason Momoa had to say about James Wan’s upcoming underwater adventure:

“Justice League was only a weekend in Arthur Curry’s life. This is a totally different beast. In Aquaman, you see when his parents met and what happened to hem. Then the little boy being raised and finding his powers and going through that and never being accepted on either side. And then becoming this man who puts up all these walls. You just slowly see this man harden up and be completely reluctant wanting to be king and not knowing what to do with these powers he has. I think James Wan just killed it.”

Director James Wan himself commented on why he chose to take up the challenge of directing Aquaman as he was offered a choice between Aquaman and the Flash solo movie.

“Aquaman has been the joke of the comic book world, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought how cool that would be. Let’s take the character everybody makes fun of and do something really interesting with him.”

Aquaman will open on December 21.
