Avengers Infinity War will be upon us in less than 21 days and the hype for the movie keeps increasing as it gets closer and closer. Infinity War will be the greatest character ensemble ever seen on the big screen and it will interweave all the stories told in the last 10 years, starting from Iron Man movie in 2008.
Since the build-up to this movie has been so fantastic, the anticipation for the movie is huge. It is expected to literally break the box office, and blow the minds of all the fans and critics at the same time. It broke the previous pre-sales record in just 6 hours. The pundits believe that if the massive hype surrounding the movie translates into actual footfalls into the theaters, this could become the highest grossing comic book movie ever.
For the first time, we will see Mad Titan ‘Thanos’ leading the invasion himself instead of sending his minions to retrieve the six Infinity stones (Space, Power, Time, Mind, Reality and Soul) scattered in different places. Although, he will not be alone in this quest as his children aka Black Order is coming to Earth to make Thanos the ultimate ruler of entire cosmos. Once Thanos has all the cosmic singularities, he will become the most powerful cosmic entity who controls fundamental forces of existence.
The only ones standing between Thanos and destruction of half the humanity are Avengers and Guardians who have to come together to take down Mad Titan.
The marketing of the movie has been going on in full force and new things get revealed as every day passes on. We have seen two full-length trailers, multiple TV spots, tonnes of set images and behind the scenes stuff but still, nobody knows everything. Marvel does not reveal all its cards and is keeping things pretty close to the chest with this one as Avengers Infinity War is going to be massive in scale and scope, portraying almost 67 characters of relevance (half of them are superheroes) and aspects of the last 18 movies coming into play in this culmination event.
This is why, the premiere of the movie has been scheduled just 3 days before the release of the movie, and that is when you will get the general consensus to the film as the Embargo of the critics will also be lifted at that time itself.
Till then, the movie will just run on the hype for us! There is good news for us as Marvel has finally tested the first 30 minutes movie with an audience in London. This will go on for the next two weeks before the premiere of the movie and today, ‘Digital Spy Film’ was the lucky ones go got to see the first 30 minutes of the movie. They have revealed something that we may know already, but still, it is a confirmation and that is what counts. Here’s what they tweeted:
“We’ve just seen 30 mins of #AvengersInfinityWar. Can’t say too much but it’s way ambitious, it’ll switch tones between different groups (the Guardians sequence had a very different, look, feel and soundtrack to the New York scenes) and it’s going to be funny. Still no Hawkeye!”

Well, they could not obviously say much because it would spill massive spoilers, but it does match with what we expect the first 30 minutes of the movie to be. According to what we know till now, the movie may open with Thanos destroying Xandar and then continue right from the moment where Thor: Ragnarok left us in its mid-credits scene.
Thanos is going to wreak havoc on the Asgardians along with his Black Order, give Hulk the beating of his life, launching him straight to Earth somehow, trying to bust Thor’s head like a balloon, while probably making him watch the death of his adopted brother Loki as Thanos takes the Tesseract from him, and then end the sequence with leaving Thor to drift apart in the cosmos.
Then the scene would change to Earth where Hulk has crash landed straight into the New York Sanctum as Banner, and he is attended by Doctor Strange and Wong. Then, Tony shows up and the science bros reunite and team up with the mystic bros. A huge battle takes place in New York that may involve Spidey as well, as the Earth goes through another Alien Invasion.
Then as the battle ends, the scene would probably change to the Guardians finding Thor as according to the D23 Expo footage, he will land on the windshield of the Milano and be attended by the Guardians of the Galaxy. That would probably be the moment where the fun begins. And obviously, Hawkeye’s build up is going to start later on!
So according to Digital Spy, this would probably be the tonal difference as the very beginning of the movie will be serious, involving character deaths and beginning to establish Thanos as the big bad we have been waiting for, and then the funny side of the movie would come in with the Guardians showing up. Infinity War is going to be massive in every aspect and it will involve permanent character deaths so we have to be ready for that.
The contracts of Avengers are coming to an end including Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. Also, the recent casting call confirmed death (s) of major superheroes, here is the official description:
“Mourners: Looking for men and women over the age of 18, all ethnicities, to portray mourners. Especially looking for good character looks and expressive faces.
