Avengers: Infinity War is less than 4 months away and we are still unaware of so many things that are in store for us. What is more interesting is that Avengers 4 is just about to wrap up shooting in about a week or 2, and recently, many photos from the set have hit the internet that brings a lot of things into light which the fans weren’t expecting.
The new set photos primarily show Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark, Chris Evans’ Captain America, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk on the set of Avengers 4. Evans is in his Captain America suit which we saw back in the first Avengers movie.
Downey is wearing a normal SHIELD outfit, similar to the one which we saw in set photos a while ago. Ruffalo is in his mo-cap suit which indicates that Hulk will be present in this scene. Rudd is in his brand new Ant-Man suit. All four of them have mo-cap tracking dots placed on their outfits.
These photos indicate the theory of time travel that has been prevailing throughout the internet for months. This scene could very well be set up during the time of the first Avengers movie as Cap is in his old suit.
Also, there is a second interpretation where this could be a scene indicating the presence of Multiverse. Just like in DC, where there are multiple universes, multiple Earths, Doctor Strange and Ant-Man’s quantum realm opened up the scope of having a multiverse in the MCU as well.
We have never seen Tony Stark with Blonde hair and even in Avengers Infinity War, his hair is black. So many fans interpreted that this Tony, who is wearing a Shield outfit could, in fact, be Tony Stark from different Earth, who is the leader of SHIELD on his own Earth. All these could blow our minds away if any of these do come true.
Most interestingly, if you take a closer look, Captain America, Tony Stark and Ant-Man, all three of them are wearing a device on their hands which seems to be a tech we don’t yet know about. We don’t know what these things do. Now, this raises so many eyebrows as it brings in so many more theories into play.
Many people have interpreted that these devices would actually help the Avengers to wield Infinity Stones. Each of these in this scene who are wearing this device on their hand could actually be holding an Infinity Stone individually in the battle against Thanos.
As a normal person cannot hold an Infinity Stone because of the power it possesses, and we saw an example of this in Guardians of the Galaxy, so, Tony and co might have developed these devices which allow regular people to carry and perhaps even wield the individual Stones.
This could also explain why all these Avengers are covered with CGI tracking dots, as when they hold an Infinity Stone, the scene could show them glowing or something that signifies the power they wield.
Cap, Tony, and Ant-Man could very well be holding Infinity Stones in this scene. Ruffalo, who is fully dressed in a Mo-cap suit will appear Hulk and even the Hulk could be having a device like this on his hand have a gem as well. It will not be unprecedented for Marvel superheroes to carry an Infinity gem as some of them have even wielded the gauntlet in comics.
So, if the Avengers do end up wielding Infinity Stones in Avengers 4, that means Thanos will be defeated to some extent in Avengers Infinity War. And once Avengers join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy, they will be better prepared to launch an all-out assault against Thanos and the Black Order.
We know that the Mad Titan aka Thanos is coming to Earth for the Infinity Stones in Avengers Infinity War. The directors of the movie Russo Brothers said in an interview that they have drawn inspiration from ‘heist’ movies. Here’s what they said:
“With “Infinity War,” the biggest new element to the movie is Thanos and the fact that he’s entering the storytelling in a very bold, strong way, to the degree that he’s almost one of the leads. We’ve shaped an interesting narrative around him that in some ways leans heavily on a heist film in the fact that he’s going after the infinity stones in a much bolder, successful way than he has in the past. The entire movie has that energy of the bad guy being one step ahead of the heroes. We looked at a lot of movies that had that heist-style energy to them, and that brought some inspiration”.
Thanos will have at least 2 of these power gems according to the first trailer of the movie. He can be seen wearing Power Stone (Purple, Orb) and Space Stone (Blue, Tesseract). He will come for the rest to assemble an all-powerful Infinity Gauntlet to rule the entire cosmos.
Well, if the theory does not turn out to be right, then these devices could allow the Avengers to stay in the past until the time they need to. Or these could even help them stay put in the place where they are present in the Multiverse.
Or they might be for some other purpose if they are in fact standing in the present times. Well, who knows what the case is, but the major spoiler over here may be that none of these Avengers die in Avengers: Infinity War. Or do they? What do you guys think about all this? Tell us in the comments.
Here’s the description of the upcoming Avengers Infinity War:
