Five months folks! Five months and the long wait will be finally over. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building up to this movie since a decade. The MCU began with Iron Man in 2008 and since then the Marvel Studios entertainment value has grown by leaps and bounds.
All events, scenarios, post-credits, Easter eggs and the likes – everything was pre-planned so that the MCU phase 3 could end with the highly anticipated Avengers Infinity War. It all boils down to one single day next year. Get ready to witness history in the making.
Avengers Infinity War is the most anticipated movie coming out in 2018 and so many huge names are involved with it, showing up all together sharing one screen, giving us the moment we have always dreamt of. This fight against Thanos is going to be deadly and we can see it all in May.
The trailer came, fans saw and it owned the internet. Finally, Marvel released the first official trailer and buoy it was breathtaking, action-packed and emotionally resonating all rolled into one.
In fact, some pundits are saying that the movie could even become the highest grossing ever given the massive reception it has received from Marvel fan community and comic-book lovers in general. It broke an all-time record for maximum viewings of a trailer in the first 24 hours of release.
In the trailer, we see Nomad Cap leading his new team of bad-ass superheroes and powerful warriors at Wakanda to prevent Black Order (Children of Thanos) from possibly getting their hands on the sixth Infinity Gem.
Hulkbuster suit making a comeback, Spiderman donning Iron Spider suit, Thor meets Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time and the Mad Titan is stealing Infinity stones one by one and is preparing the ground for an all-out war against the Earth.
When we say Avengers Infinity War, two things come to mind – the Avengers and the big bad Thanos. Thanos will be the highlight of the entire movie undoubtedly but the Avengers won’t be far behind. Thanos will come to Earth’s doorsteps looking for the Infinity Stones.
The Mad Titan aims to collect all the Infinity gems to assemble an all-powerful Infinity gauntlet which he will use to destroy the worlds and become the ultimate ruler of cosmos. The Infinity gems are one of the most powerful objects in the Marvel universe.
They don’t make the user totally indestructible but it will take the Gods or Celestials or a massive army of superheroes and warriors to fight against the person wielding the gauntlet. In comics, many times the Infinity Gauntlet has been used by different characters for different purposes (sometimes for a good cause too… believe it or not) but it took the Elders to come together to prevent its misuse.
In the MCU, the makers have decided to introduce the greatest secret society that the mankind has ever known – Illuminati which comprise of key members such as Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Bruce Banner etc. being put in charge of keeping Infinity gems safe but we know that Thanos will come for them and succeed in stealing all of them.
The Collector explained the concept of Infinity gems:
“Before creation itself, there were six singularities. Then the universe exploded into existence, and the remnants of these systems were forged into concentrated ingots… Infinity Stones.”―The Collector
The five Infinity gems have already been discovered while the sixth gem (Soul Gem) is yet to be discovered. The soul gem is speculated to be hidden somewhere at Wakanda. That is the reason why the upcoming Black Panther movie is critical as it will set the stage for the grandest comic-book event “Infinity War”.
Now, in order to stop Thanos from collecting all these Infinity Stones, the heroes of the entire galaxy will join forces as everyone knows Thanos is there to end this Universe. This will include what is left of the Asgardians, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Avengers, and the Wakandans as well.
Now we saw in the trailer that how, and who exactly meets with each other and join forces for the upcoming battle. We even know the extra details about the movie from the description footage that was shown at the D23 Expo.
In the description, the trailer began with the Guardians arriving somewhere on the Milano. Star-Lord says that they need to be careful and that everyone should wear their mean faces. He body slams against the front of the Milano. It’s Thor! Mantis wakes him up. ‘Who the hell are you guys?’ he asks.
And we saw a similar scene at the end of the official trailer which got released online showing Thor’s first ever encounter with the Guardians.
And now, a new never seen before an image of the movie has hit the internet which is exactly from the description mentioned above. In it, we see Rocket look over the passed out Avenger while Mantis uses her abilities in order to wake Thor up as he lies unconscious. Here is the image.
This is the first thing we have got to see after the release of the amazing trailer that we had been waiting for about a month ago. So, it looks like Thor is either going to be meeting Tony and others along with the rest of the Guardians. Tony meeting Thor after 2 years with short hair and an eye missing would be one scene we cannot stop imagining.
We cannot wait to see and know more about this movie. Anthony and Joe Russo are directing the film, produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee are the executive producers. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely have written the screenplay. Avengers Infinity War has a release date of May 4th, 2018.

It is surely the most awaited movie with enormous hype, now even more, as since the first trailer of the movie came out, the fans have been pulling their hair, the wait is killing everyone. We all want to see how things play out in Infinity War as soon as possible. But wait for few more months, we understand its difficult but patience will be rewarding.
