10 Major Things You Might Have Missed In Justice League

Justice League has now hit the theatres and the reaction from the fans are amazing. The movie is really great according to the fans and each and every moviegoer whether he/she is a comic book fan or not, is coming out having a good time watching the movie. There was a lot to pick up in the movie even if it was shed a lot of material in the editing room. Here is a list of major things that fans might have missed in the movie.

Zeus defended Earth from Apokolips

In the mythology scene that we got to see in Justice League, where we saw Humans, Atlanteans and Amazonians fighting together against Steppenwolf and his army, there was one more mysterious being which showed up fighting against the Apokoliptic army. What was so enigmatic about him that he was throwing thunderbolts in the fight. That, someone, was none other than Zeus! Yes, Diana’s father fought along with the people of Earth and helped bring Steppenwolf’s army down.

Zeus wasn’t the only God

The most notable individual in the mythological battle against the army of Apokolips was Zeus, The Greek God of Thunder. But if you watched closely, you would have noticed that he wasn’t the only God that took part in that fierce battle. There was another Goddess of Greek Mythology present over there. When the Justice League trailers featured the above shot of a glowing archer firing a burning arrow strong enough to destroy one of Steppenwolf’s troop carriers, it was no normal Amazon fighter, it was Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt.

Green Lantern

Green Lantern appeared in a way people did not expect, but Whedon actually added him in a cool way in order to set up Green Lantern Corps. He was added in the mythological battle, where no known Lantern was there, no Hal Jordan, no John Stewart, not even a Guy Gardner or Kyle Rayner. But, it was confirmed that the intergalactic peacekeeping corps exists in the DC movie universe. A Lantern from the Green Lantern Corps took part in the battle against Apokolips it turned out that Steppenwolf was stronger than him. This will lead to Green Lantern Corps!

Aquaman already met Superman

Jason Momoa revealed just before the release of Justice league that Snyder had told him a secret that only Arthur Curry could know. Here’s what he said.

I’ll give you a cool little thing that’s not in this movie, but that Zack told me for ‘Aquaman.’ In ‘Man of Steel’ when Henry [Cavill] is saving the oil rig and he’s holding that up, and all of a sudden he kind of floats up on the ocean, he’s [Zack] like ‘I had Aquaman save him so that they did cross paths at one point.’ So then when Bruce goes ‘You ever heard of… Superman?’ I have met him and we have crossed paths.”

This was referenced in the movie as well.

Penguin’s Existence

This scene was seen in the trailers and it made to the movie as well. Alfred realized how much the world has changed ever since Bruce Wayne started fighting crime. It lead to him claiming that he doesn’t recognise this world anymore, with all these alien invaders, ancient goddesses, speedsters, cybernetic athletes, and Atlantean royalty, he can’t help but long for the simpler days when the biggest problems of Gotham were “exploding wind-up penguins”. This proved that Bruce Wayne/Batman has fought and taken down yet another villain in the past, which was Oswald Cobblepot aka, The Penguin.

Batman’s original theme showed up

This happened in a blink and a miss moment, where the heroes were about to meet Jim Gordon for the first time. Gordon lit the Bat-signal, and the next thing we saw was Batman in his comic-book moment, standing on a Skeleton Gargoyle and at that moment, we heard the original Danny Elfman Batman theme which was composed by him in Batman (1989

Superman and The Flash race

We saw Superman and The Flash racing and not just once, but twice in the movie. Once it happened during the final act of the movie where The Flash was trying to save a family, and then it happened officially in the mid-credits scene, which was a moment stripped right out of the comics.

The New Hall of Justice

In one of the closing scenes, we saw Bruce Wayne enter his abandoned Wayne Manor along with Diana, not with the intention to start living there again, but he talked about setting up a table with 6 chairs, with room for more to join. The two were actually setting up the Hall of Justice and it would be set up in the Wayne Manor itself and become the headquarters of Justice League.

Cyborg gets an Upgrade

At the end of the movie, a scene went past really quickly where we see Cyborg standing along with Alfred, upgrading his armor and getting a more comic-book-alike look. Here he finally gets his logo stating C, i.e. Cyborg and it was really great to see that happening. Cyborg’s future looks great in the DCEU.

Deathstroke meets Luthor and??Justice League

The final post credits scene showed the merciless assassin, Deathstroke meet up with Lex, who somehow escaped from Arkham Asylum. Lex talked to him about the union of the heroes and he mentioned forming a league of his own. Now Deathstroke will not be the only one to join this team, and it is a step towards the Injustice League or may be the Legion of Doom even, setting up either of the 2 big storylines for the future.
