10 Villains Who Are Not Always Evil Masterminds

Not all bad guys are bad, as goes a famous saying, “Every Bad Guy Is The Hero Of His Own Story”, some villains just are people who are very serious about their ideology or want to make the world a better place, according to them that is. And some just not in control of their own actions. here we list 10 such villains who are not as that bad as they seem:

The Vulture

Adrian Toombs was a law-abiding family man, who when asked to shut down his business turned against the law and we know what shit went down after that. But whatever may be the case, he can’t just be called a pure villain but rather a man turned by his circumstances. Remember how he didn’t disclose Pete’s identity in the end? Yeah, not such a bad guy.

Okay, this one sure can be debatable. On party would say that this dude here just killed a whole city’s population and hence is a villain while others would think of his side and say that he wanted to genuinely help the world and that is why he did what he did. Once a part of the Watchmen he then turned to the dark side. Or was he always this same person?

Harvey Dent

Harvey, as we all know, wasn’t always a bad guy. He once was a good lawman of Gotham, but the guy when pushed too far, as Joker says “one bad day is enough to turn a sane man into being completely insane” becomes the infamous Two-Face.

Harley Quinn

There have been more than a few times when Harley Quinn has served the side of light. In Injustice as well as in many other times when even many of the heroes turned towards the bad side, it was Harley who took the side of the right people. Not just that she otherwise too at the times when her sanity returns do good for people.

Sandman is someone who is just a man trying to provide for his family. And when he didn’t have enough money he sought to some illegal measures such as robbing stores. When that happened in one such event he accidentally killed Spider-Man’s uncle and for that, he is even forgiven by Spidey by the end of the film.

Doctor Curt Connors’ story is not unknown to anyone. Everyone knows how the well-meaning doctor went on to be the Lizard. Taken over by the serum the doctor loses complete control of himself, so much so that he even eats his own child sometime in the story.

Poison Ivy

Ivy is all about protecting the green. She doesn’t want to hurt anybody, just does some thieving at some points of time and some other things that prove her good and at times heroic nature is he fact that she can’t actually have her own kids due to her changing body type. This is very sad as she holds a great affinity for children, this could be seen in the comics as well as in the animated series. In one arc she even creates a sanctuary out of a forest to protect orphan kids.

Winter Soldier

Bucky Barnes is really famous these days because of his entrance in the MCU, but the sidekick in his comic days got really famous because of his storyline, where the sidekick of Cap apparently dies while fighting, but later returns as the Winter Soldier, with the Nazis having erased all his memories and made into an assassin who for some time becomes the arch nemesis of Captain America.

Galactus or as he’s known, the devourer was not someone who always had a planet for his meal. He was once a hero, who tried to save his own universe but couldn’t. All died and he sucked up all the cosmic energy, after which he became Galactus. What’s worse is the guy who once wanted to save all, now has to now destroy them all.

Magneto was not always like this. But if there is anything that has been constant with him in his whole life, it is Racism. Even before he realized his mutant powers, he faced prejudice as he and his family were moved from one concentration camp to another, during the Nazi genocide. It was eventually their death, which unleashed Magneto’s powers. After that, according to him, he’s just protecting his kind. His ‘Brotherhood’.
