Thor Ragnarok is the most anticipated Superhero movie coming out next and it has even beaten Justice League for that matter. The film marks the third solo outing for the God of Thunder Thor (Chris Hemsworth), his trickster half-brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), and the All Father Odin (Anthony Hopkins). This time they are joined by science bro Bruce Banner/the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), the warrior Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), and the Goddess of Death, Hela (Cate Blanchett). Marvel has released character posters for every important character in the movie.
Visually Thor Ragnarok looks like nothing we’ve seen so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie’s posters and screenshots have been stunning with bright neon colors. The trailers have also been action packed and it looks like Chris Hemsworth and the Director Taika Waititi have something really special stored for us this fall.
By the looks of the trailers itself, we know that the take on the movie is going to be really different this time and we are just going to love the movie. it will be a total fun ride and will Thor is going to have a thrilling ride along with his team mate- The Hulk, even though he will get his ass handed to him by the Green Rage Monster, and we are going to love every bit of it!
The movie is inspired by Jack Kirby’s Ragnarok comic wherein Asgard is burned to the ground and rebuilt from the ashes. Thor will confront an empowered Loki who he has gained absolute control of Asgard while Thor was busy fighting Ultron on Earth and forces of Hela who command legions of the dead.
Thor must defeat them to pave the way for the rebirth of Asgardian society. One fan aptly described the movie as “The way Winter Soldier was for Captain America, Ragnarok is for Thor.” The trailer shown at Comic Con broke all the records and gave us a lot of reasons to be really excited for the movie. Here are the reasons why we should really be excited about the movie Thor Ragnarok.
Planet Hulk
Fans have petitioned for a long time to see a Planet Hulk movie set up in the MCU, and since it is not possible because of the rights issue Marvel faces with Universal co-owning the character, they seem to have brought in a Planet Hulk story arc within a Thor movie and it is what fans are now loving about this film. The major parts of the Planet Hulk story-line will be featured in the movie.
Loki’s New Role
Loki has always been the most fun part of the Thor movies. The apparent vibe of Thor Ragnarok appears to suit him perfectly. Loki is posing as Odin in the new film, effectively ruling Asgard and almost certainly injecting chaos with every move he makes. We know that it’s Loki who causes the release of the movie’s Big Bad, Hela and destabilizes the nine realms. So it would be really fun to see him do that and how Thor reacts to everything would be the matter of great interest.
New Supporting Characters
The movie Thor Ragnarok is bringing in a lot of big characters from the comics apart from the Superheroes and the main Villain. We are going to see Jeff Goldblum as the Grand Master, who is an elder of the Universe and the brother of the Collector. Along with him, we will see Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie who is going to team up with Thor in the movie and Karl Urban is going to play Skurge, who is another villain in the movie and will team up with Hela.
A Hammerless Thor
In one of the trailer’s most notable moments, Hela shatters Thor’s hammer, Mjolner, as though it’s a beer glass. Thor is then forced to go Mjolner-less for the rest of the film. We know he finds a similarly-shaped cosmic weapon at a certain point, but it’s nowhere near as powerful as Mjolner. But still, we see him living up to his name and literally becoming the God of Thunder at the end of the second trailer which is really amazing.
Heimdall and the Infinity Stone
We have got to see very less of Heimdall in the two trailers that were released and it was mainly because he seems to be hiding something big under his belt. We saw him hiding out in a jungle in order to survive. Black Panther has been confirmed to not show an Infinity Stone and the only movie left before Infinity War is Ragnarok. So, we might get to see the introduction of the 6th Infinity Stone in this movie and Heimdall is probably the one who possesses it.
Hela The Goddess of Death
Hela probably might be the biggest MCU villain we have seen till now. Cate Blanchett has played the Role of Hela and she will be responsible for ‘Ragnarok’, the destruction of Asgard. She might make the story more intriguing and serious apart from the funny side it is going to portray and she will probably be the main connection with Avengers Infinity War because she is The Goddess of Death and Thanos is the lover of Death in the comics, which means that if Thor manages to beat Hela, Thanos will wreak havoc on the Universe.
The movie Thor Ragnarok is going to hit the theatres on November 3, 2017, and we just can’t wait for it to hit the theatres.
