Superman vs Green Lantern: Who Will Win?
This is a battle we need to see on the big screen. Earth’s strongest Superhero versus Earth’s Green Guardian, a watchful protector, what a match up! Green Lantern is a very underrated Superhero if compared with Superman, but he is the guy with the strongest will on Earth and he does back a solid punch just like Superman. A battle between these two will be really epic and here is the analysis to find out who will be the ultimate winner.
There are various Green lanterns in the entire Green Lantern Corps. But the one in question over here is everyone’s favorite Lantern, Hal Jordon. Harold “Hal” Jordan was a second-generation test pilot, having followed in the footsteps of his father. He was given the power ring and battery (lantern) by a dying alien named Abin Sur, whose spaceship crashed on Earth.
Abin Sur used his ring to seek out an individual who was “utterly honest and born without fear” to take his place as a member of the corps. At that point, it was revealed that Hal Jordon was the one who matched the specified criteria on Earth.
Green lantern is extremely strong. He gets his powers from the ring he wears which is powered by Willpower. The stronger the will power of a lantern, the stronger he would be. The ring grants powers of flight and shields the Lantern as long as he focuses.
It allows a Lantern to conjure “constructs” solid green objects that he can control telekinetically. That means he can create whatever he imagines as long as he concentrates. Every solid construct is green in color. He can also shoot green beams straight out of ring taking down any opponent that stands in his way. Every Lantern has to swear an oath and Hal Jordon’s oath is –
In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil’s might,
Beware my power, Green Lantern’s light!
Krypton’s last survivor Kal-El, son of Jor-El arrived on earth as a baby when Krypton was destroyed. He was raised on a farm in Kansas by the name of Clark Kent, Son of Jonathan and Martha Kent. Clark Kent is a very talented news reporter but when he finds someone in trouble, he comes in to save the day.
As Clark grew older, he came to realize his powers and what he could do for the people of earth with them. He possesses Super-Strength, Super-Speed and agility, heat vision, freeze breath, X-ray vision and the ability to fly at speeds much faster than a speeding bullet. His only weaknesses are Kryptonite which weakens his Kryptonian cells and could kill him and also magic. His abilities make him the most powerful superhero and he is just invincible in a fight where there is no Kryptonite.
Superman can literally beat anyone if he does not hold back. He loses most of his fight because he holds back, and if he gets rid of that factor, there is no taking him down. The opponent should literally pray that he does not lose his mind in a battle because if he does, anyone standing in his way will end up like Zod!
“Look up, it’s a bird, it’s a plane, no its Superman!” comes in America’s best Superhero to save the day.
Superman vs Green Lantern: Death Battle
Let’s just hope, for the sake of the people of Earth, that this battle does not take place ever, but if it has to, then we need to see it on the big screen for sure because this will be the most epic DC Superhero face off ever (Even better than Batman v Superman).
Superman will dominate the fight throughout but we should not underestimate Green Lantern. He has a very strong will and the ability to produce anything he imagines. He might even trick Superman by just imagining Kryptonite and attacking him with that. It will help him take down Superman if Sups falls into this trap. But, if Superman ends up beating that too somehow, the Lantern is in for a defeat because his will is not as strong as the Kryptonian’s strength. So, Superman will be the ultimate winner of this fight.
