A Huge Marvel Character Won’t Appear In Avengers Infinity War

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the biggest franchise that exists in Hollywood right now. We all love whatever Marvel provides us with and they have not disappointed us a lot throughout all these years. But there are some areas where Marvel has not received as much love that they would have expected. For example, the Iron Fist series on Netflix was the first project handled by Marvel which was not as good as the others.

Another aspect where Marvel has managed to disappoint us is the villain problem that almost all the movies face. The Villains are not as intimidating that they are expected to be. Except for Loki, Red Skull and Ego, all other villains have been sort of one-off characters with very small stakes to offer. Hopefully, Thanos solves this villain problem.

Now another area where fans are going to be disappointed is the inclusion of Nick Fury. During the first Phase of MCU, Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury was present in almost every movie except the Incredible Hulk. But then, he was just left out of everything as a sort of side character. He is the one who was responsible for the Avengers to come together and now he is the one who is being left out of everything.

Samuel L. Jackson himself does not sound very happy about it as when he was asked about his presence in the upcoming Avengers Infinity War, he denied. We last saw him in Avengers: Age of Ultron where he turned out to be of great help to the Avengers and saving the Sokovian people at the end. After that he has not yet been seen anywhere in the MCU.

Samuel L. Jackson confirmed to Yahoo Movies UK that despite previous expectations that he’d be appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, the former director of SHIELD’s next confirmed appearance won’t be until Captain Marvel. So, fans may have to wait for 2019 for Nick Fury to return to the MCU.

“I wasn’t in the ‘superhero argument’ movie, I’m not in Avengers 3 and 4. They’re shooting them now and they haven’t called me yet,” Jackson said, referring to the lack of Nick Fury in Captain America: Civil War.

Fans would have really expected him to be in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 but by the looks of it and according to what Sam Jackson himself said, it seems that he is going to be absent from these huge events after all.

Keeping the ‘Defenders’ out of Avengers makes sense as they are different tone wise and they are on TV, but keeping the guy who started it all out of Avengers: Infinity War does not make a lot of sense.

Infinity War and Avengers 4 are said to be the culmination of what all we have seen in the MCU till now, and they are keeping a very impactful character out of it. The news that Jackson won’t be appearing in the upcoming Avengers films may be a surprise, but it was the exclusion from another Marvel film that seemed to bother the actor even more.

According to the interview, Nick Fury won’t be appearing in the upcoming Black Panther movie, either. The movie, taking place in the fictional African country of Wakanda and featuring a majority African or African-American cast, is the first MCU film to center around a black superhero.

“They wouldn’t let me go to Black Panther-ville, so it’s kinda like how you gonna make a black Marvel movie and not let Nick Fury show up in it?” Jackson said.

The next movie that he will appear in is going to be Captain Marvel alongside Brie Larson which will be a prequel movie set up in the 1990s and it is not coming out till 2019.

It was revealed that Fury is going to have both his eyes in the movie. That means that we might get to see how Fury lost his second eye during the events occurring in the MCU.

What do you guys think? Will we see Nick Fury in the upcoming Avengers movies as it could all be a plan set up by Marvel to not expect the character appear in these movies as the same thing was done with Yondu. Or do you think Fury is going to be absent and Jackson’s telling us the truth? Tell us in the comments.
