There have been three incarnations of Spiderman in Hollywood since 2002. Each of the actors who have portrayed the role of the Web Slinger has done it for at least two times each. So, with each of them getting substantial time on screen, an all factor comparison would be pretty fair. Here is the analysis to find the best Spiderman out of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland.
Performance as Spidey
Tobey Maguire nailed his performance as the Web Slinger even though people thought he was not fit for the role. Andrew Garfield, on the other hand, had the looks for Spiderman but his acting as compared to Maguire was meh! Tom Holland is the complete package of looks, body, acting and age and his performance was great. So, he wins this point hands down.
Love Interest
The main love interests of all there Spidermen were different and amazing. Liz Allen, the newest addition to Peter Parker’s love life in the movies was great and perceived even better than Mary Jane whose acting skills were ranged from unnecessary shouting and intimate kissing. The Best love interest no doubt was Gwen Stacy, so Garfield gets this point.
Powers and Suit
If all three Spidermen were to be compared on the basis of their powers and abilities, Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman would surely beat Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman as he shoots organic web and Garfield’s Spiderman needed web shooters. But even though Holland’s Spiderman uses web shoots, the capabilities of his suit will allow him to easily take down Maguire’s Spiderman. So, Holland wins this round.
Villains
The villains of Homecoming were quite effective but considering Garfield got two movies and 4 villains, his villains would be better than Holland’s. But the most effective and the best villains were shown in Maguire’s first 2 movies even though the villains of the 3rd movie were not that good. So, Maguire wins this round hands down.
Box office returns
Maguire’s Spiderman movies have easily taken down Garfield’s Spiderman movies in terms of critical acclaim and box office returns. But, considering the returns that Spider-Man: Homecoming is getting and keeping in mind his two sequels and two MCU appearances pending, he would surely take down Tobey Maguire in this round.

So the final verdict considering all the factors is that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man wins from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield with a score of 3 points to one each for Maguire and Garfield.
