FAKED DEATH
While iron man was trying to heal himself from alcoholism, he gave his mantel to his dearest friend Jim “Rhodey”. Further it was depicted that everyone believed that Tony Stark was dead( and Rhodey then became the CEO of Stark Enterprises ) but only for Rhodey to realise it years later that Tony had faked his death, which was very hurtful to him because he felt betrayed as Tony lied to him.
WORKING WITH KANG
“the Crossing” 1995 crossover revealed Iron Man as a conspirator who worked for Kang. The avengers had to travel back into the time to convince the teen Tony stark to fight with the evil Iron man who had killed Gilgamesh and Yellow jacket already. Later In the fight adult Stark had let the Young Stark take over. But as expected the arc did have a retcon and hence nothing ever happened!
CIVIL WAR
While Civil wars Iron Man revealed a totally villainous side when he teamed up with the government soldiers to capture the superheros who were opposing to register with the government. Also, Tony unveiled Spider Man publicly, created a clone of Thor to kill Goliath.
EXTREMIS 3.0
Amongst Iron Man’s trips to the evil world, the worst one was when Scarlet Witch’ spell upturned the personalities of superheros and super villains. Tony managed to escape the reversal of the spell and remained evil. He then launched the wicked cell phone Extremis 3.0 app which allowed people to modify their bodies however they wanted.
EXECUTED CRIMINALS
In the series ‘invincible Iron Man #7’ Ho Yinsen’s (the one who save Iron Man in Afganistan ) brother’s murderers started disappearing once and witness claimed that the culprit was Iron Man. It was later revealed that Yinsen had been controlling Tony Stark’s battle armor. It was finally turned down by avengers, fantastic 4 and Iron man himself. But after all the havoc was due to Stark’s carelessness and he had admitted that.
EXILED HULK
Due to Hulk’s uncontrolled fury and power, he has cause a lot of devastation alongside his good deeds. Thus, Iron man tricked to send him to space . This decision infuriated him and he then sought to revenge. Hence he ended up killing numerous innocent lives, all because of Iron man.
KIDNAPPED ULYSSES
Tony Stark Kidnapped Ulysses Cain who had the power to determine future to oppose the wants of Captain America, who wanted to use Ulysses to predict crime and this created second civil war amongst Captain America, Iron man and their teams. Though most of you might agree with Tony’s side but he endeavours did create a havoc.
