5 Most Underrated Characters In Naruto Who Kick Serious Butt

Every show has some characters, that stay low, that hide in the dark and lighten up the show, those are the heroes that we have but don’t deserve. Here is a list of 5 such heroes from the series Naruto.

5. Rock Lee

Definitely, a fan favorite who showed everyone what heights can one achieve if determined. Lee, incapable of doing Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, only has to rely on his Taijutsu skills. Starting as someone who is not all that strong, Lee shows promise and eventually gets better than even Neji and Sasuke. His fight with Gara is truly a motivating video and undoubtedly the best fight of the show.

4. Anko Mitarashi

This teacher of Naruto sure is loud and goofy, but when the time comes to shine, Oh by, she means business. She was known to be talented, but fans got to see her in full force during her fight with the evil Orochimaru, who then again was her teacher and had given her a curse seal of heaven. She barely survives the fight and tells the 3rd Hokage about Orochimaru’s invasion. She also helps Sasuke understand the curse mark that he has and its effects.

3. Hiruzen Sarutobi

This might come as a shock to some, as the third Hokage was surely given a lot of screen time in the initial Naruto. A grandfatherly image to Naruto, father to a class A shinobi and the student of the 2nd Hokage, Sarutobi is merely used in the fight with Madara Uchiha, being one of the most powerful characters in the series, of course he was to die at the hands of Orochimaru, but even after his death what all he did went in vain and his treatment post-death too was almost shameful.

2. Tobirama Senju

The 2nd Hokage of the leaf, younger brother to the first, the creator of most of the Jutsus in the series, Tobirama surely was an amazingly talented shinobi who created the Chunin exams, the Anbu and the Shinobi Academy. Even being such a powerful person he is given relatively small screen time and his physical prowess isn’t shown much on the show.

 1. Asuma Sarutobi

The son of the third Hokage helps Naruto learn the Rasen-Shuriken, which eventually gets to become Naruto’s most powerful move. He also is the teacher of Shikamaru, Shikamaru is teachings shape the area Shikamaru, and his question “Who is the king” is what takes him to a whole new level. He is killed off during a fight with the Akatsuki, not in vain though. His fight lets Shikamaru understand the powers of the one he is to fight.
