These guys may always have to be wingmen or women, but oh boy.. they do pack a punch. Sidekicks are more important to the superheroes than they are credited for, here is a list of the top sidekicks in the comic books.
Roy Harper, an ex-heroine addict is taken in by Oliver Queen after his adoptive father dies. An equally skilled archer, trained in all kinds of fighting styles and weapons by the Green Arrow himself, this one had to be on this list. The guy even had his own comic run for about 50 years.
He undoubtedly is one of the best sidekicks, one has to offer. Being someone whom even Captain America can blindly rely on is a great achievement in itself. Flying in a suit and battling villains is another, being such a great sidekick that after the death of the main superhero you are asked to step into his shoes is altogether on a different level. Well, that is what the Falcon has achieved.
Tony Stark’s friend and a lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, James Rhodes took on the mantle of War Machine. Unlike Tony’s slim suit, war machine packs quite a lot of external firepower in his suit too. The guy has also donned the Iron Man costume quite a few times in order to fill in for his drunk friend.
Before Bucky became the infamous Winter Soldier, he was Cap’s sidekick. He grew up in a military facility, after his father died, serving in the war. Bucky befriended Steve Rogers and later finds out that his friend is actually Captain America, after which there was no looking back. The duo was always together and kicked Nazi butt.
Many may come, many may go, but Robin shall stay forever. Robin though has had many incarnations, but still is the best sidekick to ever be a superhero. Amongst whom Dick Grayson- The Boy Wonder was the most famous one. The character was created to draw in a younger audience, and sure it worked. Trained by Batman himself in fighting and detective work and naturally an acrobat, he sure had to be the best.
