8 Major Reasons Why The Flash Is Behind Arrow And Legends of Tomorrow

The DC fans witnessed the finales of all CW superhero shows – Arrow, Flash, LOT, Supergirl. While Flash season 3 finale was along expected lines as it was bereft of any “shock n awe” moment, for once we thought that Flash show-makers grew a spine to kill off a major female character but somewhere deep down we knew that Flash can’t lose Iris West and it will be a happy ending. On the other hand, Arrow season 5 finale was perhaps the best episode in show’s history, maybe in CW history as well. LOT finale was a thrilling, edge-of-the-seat ride that never failed to give goose-bumps. Here’re reasons why Flash is not what it used to be.

Plot pacing

Flash TV show is all about withholding important information and revealing when it’s so obvious. LOT in the case of Legion of Doom, Arrow in the case of Prometheus moved fast and enthralled the audience.

Away from roots

The first season of “The Flash” is the best till now as it had all the ingredients that the fans asked for. But then the show drifted from its roots and took all the fandom for granted.

Dragging the narrative

Barry is in the Speed Force
The Flash only revolves around few story-lines and remain stuck in its limited material for numerous episodes, whereas LOT and Arrow have distinctive episodes each week with unique settings.

Come out of your comfort zone

Flash TV show has already lost its original spark and zing that it had, it seems overstretched and hackneyed in terms of narrative and style. LOT and Arrow, on the other hand, have successfully re-invented themselves from season to season.

Obsession with Barry Allen

Flash TV show is only interested in exploring Barry’s relationship with Cisco, Iris, Joe etc. while rest of the characters are just there like a prop. In LOT particularly, multiple characters are thrown into difficult situations which create dynamic interactions.

Deal with the ‘Villain’ issues

BARRY EVIL SAVITARIn Flash TV show, the villains carry too much emotional baggage which ultimately becomes the reason for their demise. For instance, Savitar wanted to be “Speed God” just because Team Flash abandoned him when he was young.

No Epic Fight Scenes

Nobody remembers any iconic fight scene from the Flash season 3, there is just too much dialogue instead of well-orchestrated action sequences. Arrow on LOT, on the other hand, are full of awesome fight scenes throughout the season.

It’s all predictable

IRIS WEST ALLEN DIE THE FLASH
It’s understandable that Flash will have a speedster villain. Can we try something different ever? There are comic-book villains who have defeated Flash without speed-powers.
