In the marketing campaign, DC has promised to “unite the seven”, but we only see five members, sixth is the Superman who will be resurrected. Who is the seventh one?
Recently, DC has confirmed that Green Corps will be part of the DCEU and a possible spin-off movie is in the works. It’s been termed as a lethal weapon in space. The movie will follow the life of two iconic Green Lanterns – Hal Jordan and John Stewart. There will be elements of Green Lantern origins, his struggles and may even introduce a great DC villain Sinestro. In fact, Armie Hammer who starred in Lone Ranger opposite Johnny Depp is in the contention for the coveted role. By the way, he was once considered for the role of Batman.
Henry Cavill may have revealed that fans don’t have to wait for a Green Corps movie to see Green Lantern, he could be the “seventh” hero that DC is hiding all this time.
He recently visited “The Art of DC – The Dawn of Superheroes” museum in Paris and he chose to share a massive Green Lantern image with his fans. He has dropped cryptic hints in the past too which turned out to be true, for instance, the Black costume of Superman. These are not subtle allusions but almost a confirmation that Green Lantern will be revived after Ryan Reynolds delivered a dud of massive proportions.
