We all know that in the latest issue of Marvel Comics, Captain American was confirmed to be a HYDRA agent. Now, imagine this, an EVIL CAPTAIN AMERICA getting the HAMMER OF THOR as well. In the Marvel comic, Secret Empire, Captain Rogers has launched a big plan to take over the world for HYDRA. Well if making a long standing hero, a Nazi villain wasn’t enough for Marvel, they are giving him the “WORTHY” status too. This storyline is a part of yet to be launched Marvel comic, Secret Empire, releasing on May 6, 2017.
For all of you, who don’t know what’s going on, let me bring you up to speed. Stever Rogers aka Cap America is now the head of HYDRA, has crippled down S.H.I.E.L.D and locked all the cosmic heroes outside Earth in a planetary shield. The left ones are trapped in New York. With his former friends and Earth’s mightiest heroes taken care of, Cap can finally launch a strike, to build his Secret Empire. Here’s the twist, if all of that wasn’t enough, he is being given the mightiest weapon in MARVEL, Mjolnir, or THOR’S HAMMER.
An Evil Captain America holding Thor’s Hammer will definitely raise eyebrows. In spite of betraying his friends and killing innocents; how can he still be “WORTHY”?
Well, this definitely opens up new storylines in MARVEL comics, but already the fans have criticised the way the long standing “good guy” here was turned into an evil Captain America. How the fans will take this news, is yet to be confirmed! But, one thing is clear, Marvel may not be done with twisting the storylines. We never thought about an Evil Captain America, more so, the plot thickening for Thor’s Hammer. What lies ahead, is mere speculation! Let us hope for the best.
