The former Ruler of Hel and Niffleheim, The Asgardian Goddess of Death, Hela is making her cinematic debut in the upcoming comic book flick Thor: Ragnarok. She always wanted to take control over several Asgardian souls, those of Odin and his son, Thor. The latest trailer for the movie showed how Hela destroys the hammer of Thor(Mjolnir) with ease and it seems like things are going to get nasty. Played by Cate Blanchett, the character was the daughter of Loki and the giantess Angrboða in one of her incarnations.
“This is the gathering of the dead. If you liked it, there would be something wrong with you. … Only Hela likes it. And it is not a matter of whether she likes it or not. It must be done and done swiftly,” says Hela.
