Ever since MARVEL got the Spider-Man at Marvel Cinematic Universe, there has been a sense of joy among the fans. They finally believe the master of Marvel (pun intended), Kevin Feige will finally do justice to the character of Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is coming in July 2017 and it is one of the most hyped releases of this year. However, what is more, heart-warming for the fans is that the “Sony and Marvel” deal is extended to Spider-Man making his way in The Avengers 4, slated to release in 2019.
Tom Holland, who is portraying Spiderman, and last appeared in Captain America: Civil War is set to join the Avengers’ team in Avengers: Infinity War and then in another standalone sequel of Spider-Man in 2019. Now, we can confirm that it won’t be his only appearance on the silver-screen that year.
Kevin Feige in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Spiderman is in The Avengers 4 and also added:
“That’s as far as it goes for now.”
Certain characters from Avengers: Infinity War will make their way to The Avengers 4 and we can add Spider-Man to that list.
This may not be a surprising reveal for many, but it does confirm that there will be a connection between Avengers: Infinity War and The Avengers 4.
It confirms Spidey’s future; as Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 rolls out in July 2019, mere months after The Avengers 4. Thus implying the deal will not fall out in just two stand-alone movies and SPIDERMAN has a bright future with the MCU.
It is still up in the air, but Sony is looking to end deal with Marvel after Homecoming 2. But, we will have to wait and see.
Feige has stated that:
“We had a very particular plan about Spidey himself.”
Thus, let us wait for the best plan for Spidey and hope of a better future for this character.
