What is the Connection Between Black Panther And Game of Thrones? The Answer Will Shock You

Black Panther made a lasting first impression when he was featured on Captain America: Civil war. Marvel Cinematic universe had finally found a superhero that went beyond The Avengers, in fact, he was beyond America and lived in a new world that had not yet been explored. Prince T’Challa has already mourned the death of his father in Civil war, returning to his country as a reluctant king.

Like Thor, Black Panther has a background where his family and his lineage as royalty becomes a part of his story. Wakanda, the place the hero comes from also is the most advanced country that Marvel has to offer. This new world has a huge potential for what could happen in future Phases for Marvel. One Black Panther cast member who seemed to see this was Daniel Kaluuya, who has been experiencing a career high with his movie Get Out which has become a blockbuster hit.

Kaluuya spoke to GQ magazine where he compared the world of Black Panther too, of all things, Game Of Thrones. The actor said:

“This is an African blockbuster, bruv. This is like Game of Thrones. This is crazy. And Ryan Coogler is just, man dem. He’s like us! He’s a normal dude, in a Golden State hat and a Tupac T-shirt directing the whole set. It’s the most beautiful thing to see.”

Black Panther has acquired an impressive cast and director, given that this is the first Marvel superhero who is black who will be leading a huge Marvel movie. Like Kaluuya mentions, the world of Wakanda has a very Greek-like aspect to storytelling as to the Pince T’Challa not only has to be a ruler of a country but a superhero as well. From Kaluuya’s statement, we can expect a whole lot of court intrigue and back-stabbing to be in the film, since royal life does have its own world as elaborated in Game Of Thrones.
