Superhero sidekicks provide a lighter backdrop to the mission of superheroes. Sometimes they are the reason why superheroes survive in their individual timelines and crossovers. No matter how dark and brooding superheroes are, sidekicks have been brighter and positive about their roles. They act as a security shield for superheroes, but sometimes they are disastrous and become a thorn in a flesh. So let’s get to the nucleus of what we want to communicate. Speedy Created by Mort Weisinger and George Papp, Speedy is the sidekick of Green Arrow who the first app read in More Fun Comics #73 in 1941. Also dubbed as Roy Harper, Speedy was adopted by Oliver Green after he was brought up by a medicine chief of Navajo. He appeared as the alter-ego of Thea, Oliver Queen’s sister, in ‘Arrow’.In 1971, during DC’s anti-drug campaign, Green Arrow and Hal caught him sucking up some joints.Obviously, readers didn’t like this. 2. Hydra Bob Created by Fabian Nicieza and Reilly Brown, Hydra Bob is a sidekick of Deadpool who first appeared in Cable & Deadpool #38 in 2007. Fans may love him, but he is a useless sidekick. During his first appearance, Bob helped Deadpool to escape a Hydra base in a jet. Well, what could be worse? He does know how to fly! And during a fight with Tiger Shark, he mistakenly dropped his weapons into water. 3. Bat-Mite Created by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff, Bat-Mite first appeared in Detective Comics #267 in 1959 and we knew that things would not be the same with Batman again. Wearing a poor replica of Batman’s costume, he is an irritating character in the life of The Dark Knight who has always troubled him and get him almost killed. 4. Uncle Marvel Created by Marc Swayze and Otto Binder, Uncle Marvel first appeared in Wow Comics #18 in 1943. One of the original members of the Captain Marvel family, the worst thing about him is that he did not have superpowers. 5. Namorita Clone of her mother Namora, Namorita first appeared in Sub-Mariner #50 1972. She is a sidekick to Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Well, she has not been a bad sidekick but in one instance in 2006, where Namorita faces off Nitro and turn him into a nuclear being, causing a huge explosion leading to an incident that started Civil War.
