The third Thor film has already created a buzz with the fans for the mere mention of a team up between Marvel’s favorite Norse god and Marvel’s favorite Green Giant. The duo is set to officially become a trio as there has been a confirmation of Marvel’s newest hero joining Thor and Hulk in Thor Ragnarok and it may be who you think it is. Ragnarok has been said to be an “intergalactic buddy road movie” with a basis of the Planet Hulk storyline of alien gladiators on the side. The movie has also been speculated to feature the last Infinity Stone called the Mind Stone but there has been no confirmation as of yet.
D23-The Official Disney Fan Club confirmed that Doctor Strange will have a role in Ragnarok, writing on their site “Thor Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new.” Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel Studios come under the umbrella of Disney studios, and since D23 is the official website, it can’t be any clearer that Doctor Strange will indeed be in the movie.
Dr. Stephen Strange had encountered Thor in this year at the end credits of his titular movie. Thor had consulted the Doctor in his search for his father Odin. Odin had been banished to roam the Earth at the end of Thor: The Dark World by Loki. Many assumed that he had killed his father but Thor’s search confirmed Odin had not yet died.
There has been no confirmation as to how many scenes the good Doctor will grace the screen with, but it would definitely entail the search for Odin. Doctor Strange has become the Sorcerer Supreme and the gatekeeper for preventing all the bad juju from entering Earth’s realm, so he would definitely have a part to play in Thor Ragnarok.
