Iron Man has faced some awesome villains, but some have proved to be more memorable than others. Here are his 5 greatest villains of all time:
The Mandarin
The Mandarin is Iron Man’s greatest foe whom he’s battled on various occasions. A megalomaniac who has tried to conquer the world for his own twisted sense of beliefs is also everything Tony Stark hates. The villain is also Iron Man’s most worthy opponent who is as brilliant a scientist as Tony Stark. His primary sources of power are ten power rings that he adapted from the alien technology of a crashed space ship. Each ring has a different power and is worn on a specific finger.
Iron Monger
Obediah Stane and his company Stane International were a rival to tony stark and his company, Stark International. Stane manipulated Stark with his analytical quick thinking, which ended with Tony losing his company. He then built the Iron Monger armor, using Stark’s technology and tried to dominate the world. When Iron Man fought and won, Stane committed suicide using the Iron Monger armor’s onboard weaponry.
Madame Masque
Madame Masque aka Whitney Frost started out as Tony Stark’s love interest but soon evolved into skirting between Tony’s ally and enemy. She damaged her face in an attempt to steal Stark’s technology to save her father.This is why she wears her gold mask, forever becoming a woman of mystery and intrigue for Iron Man.
Crimson Dynamo
The Crimson Dynamo was created by the Soviets.It has a magnetic field technology designed to counteract Iron Man’s repulsor technology. The armor has been worn by many men through the years, some even switching to the hero’s side due to deceptions they have felt.But all in all, the Crimson Dynamo is more bad than good to Iron Man.
A.I.M
A.I.M (Advanced Idea Mechanics) is a collective of mad scientists who have caused major problems for Iron Man and the rest of the Marvel Universe. A.I.M have tried to steal Tony Stark’s technology and also tried to copy it.They created the being called M.O.D.O.K, and have captured Iron Man to analyze and create their own suit. Fortunately for the hero, they failed miserably. No one can copy Tony Stark’s brilliance.
