DCEU’s upcoming film Justice League has become an anticipated movie for the next year. It has been thought to be the change in the DCEU that many are hoping for. The studio’s last three releases had received high criticism from critics which the studio seemed to have absorbed. A new image has been released that details how much the upcoming movie has updated itself from its past mistake.
A new image was released earlier this week by Entertainment Weekly which showcased Batman, Wonder Woman and The Flash in what looks like a face of peril. The picture seems to depict the new direction in which the studio has been aiming to move towards. DCEU had previously gotten criticism for being too dark in tone and in its cinematography, along with having a lack of humor.
The newly released picture is more colorful than anything we have seen from a Zack Snyder-helmed film, so it seems like already a huge step has been taken. Snyder also seemed positive about his upcoming movie and cast saying,” I’m super happy with the chemistry of my league of justice doers.”
The movie seems to have a particular character with a sense of humor. Ezra Miller told Entertainment Weekly that his character is “Ringo Starr” (The rock band The Beatles famous drummer) while Uncle Fish Curry [Aquaman] is very grumpy. Dad [Batman] gets grumpy too. (He’s had a long life of fighting crime.) Wonder Woman is very considerate, so even though she’s annoyed with the Flash, she’s still very compassionate.
Ezra Miller’s youthful attitude and enthusiasm may just be what the upcoming film need to finally garner some positivity towards it. Rival studio MCU has been known to mix action, adventure, and some jokes into their films which have seemed to work for them. Is Justice League heading down the same route? Only time will tell.
