The Guardians of the Galaxy entered Marvel Cinematic Universe as strangers but have been the team which has seen a growth in its fandom due to their debut movie. As there was no expectation (due to it being literally unknown) when it was released, the film’s success took the world by storm. With a sequel to be released in 2017, the pendulum has changed as many fans with for the second film with high expectation. The anticipation reached a high when it was revealed that Star Lord’s mysterious father would be making an appearance. But what should we expect from the new movie?
Screengeek.com recently published the entire plotline for Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2. This news comes lieu with Reddit’s controversial MCU and DCEU leaks. Both studios never confirmed what had happened publicly but many of the facts in the leak has turned out to be true. Doctor Strange, for instance, justified many of the rumored plot points. So if you read this, take into mind that it contains more than a few spoilers.
The Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will feature Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone are playing members of the Ancients who hire the Guardians of the Galaxy to stop Ego. Ego is made out to be the main villain but Ayesha is actually the one pulling the strings. Taserface is another enemy that makes trouble for the heroes.
Yondu and Nebula, who were foes in the first movie have joined the team alongside Mantis, who is Star-Lord’s half-sister and a prisoner of Ego. The movie will not feature Thanos, although his name will be referenced along with the Infinity Stones. Star lord and Gamora will continue on with a romance sub-plot like in the first movie. Groot will not grow for a large portion of the movie and the movie ending will lead directly to Avengers: Infinity War.
