Here’s Why Ezra Miller Thinks New Flash is Akin to Japanese Samurai

The upcoming DCEU movie The Flash may be facing some trouble as of now (losing its second director) but it seems to have made the right the decision of casting actor Ezra Miller in the role of The Flash. Ezar Miller has made cameos in DCEU films Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad and he will be a part of the upcoming Justice League, quite a feat for a superhero that has not been properly introduced to movie audiences as of yet.

The actor is nothing if not an enthusiastic fan for his role as the Scarlet Speedster. In a recent interview with Yahoo, Miller discussed his upcoming role in DCEU :

“I’m just so excited to explore him and explore that for as long as possible, even if it just means, this. Honestly, it’s an incredible gift to the world, the long history of the Flash. I feel so lucky to be a part of these great stories.”

Miller also compared the donning of The Flash costume to that of a Samurai:

“I’ll tell you that donning the Flash suit is one of the single most thrilling experiences I’ve ever known,” Miller said with a smile. “You know it’s like a samurai getting in his armor. Every day, I just felt like, so cool. It’s the greatest. I really love playing the Flash. I love Barry Allen. I really, I’ve come to, yeah, I’ve come to really hold a special place in my heart for this neurotic but altruistic individual.”

Miller also discussed the benefits of having Geoff Johns on the sets of Justice League helped him to get a deeper knowledge of his character:

“Yes, he’s a good guy to have around. He keeps us full of information and he keeps us from making ignorant mistakes that would upset the fans across the world because you pretty much can’t get someone with a deeper knowledge of this universe than Geoff Johns.”
