Samuel L Jackson aka Nick Fury has been a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe since its very first film. He made a small cameo in the first Iron Man film along with his then-mysterious agency S.H.I.E.L.D. And after a few films in, things took a turn for the worst for Fury that led to his death and the destruction of his agency in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Fury’s death lead to things changing within the Marvel world. For one, The Avengers let the constant in fighting become a precipice for an initial break up of the team. And with S.H.I.E.L.D gone, super powered beings in Hell’s Kitchen seem to be causing a big ruckus. This has lead to a train of thought-Would this all have happened if Nick Fury had still been alive?
Samuel L Jackson recently spoke to Coming Soon where here he teased of a comeback in Avengers: Infinity War:
“Yeah! For sure, definitely. Why wouldn’t there be? There’s some way of fixing what they created, and hopefully somebody has that going on or Nick Fury is out there — wherever he is, probably hanging out with Jules and walking the world — figuring out what happened and how it got to that particular place. Maybe they’ll find out that all that was part of a ruse to get to something else also. That would be great. They’ll bring me back somehow, some way, for some reason. I mean, they didn’t have me around to referee the kids when they didn’t go to their rooms and got in this big old fight. We’ll see what happens.”
If Fury returns, it could be the possible to see a reluctant reunion among the members of the Avengers. He was the one who brought the team together and he could be the one to bring the team back together for Infinity War.
