Which Avenger Should Be the President?

As the elections for the next American President rolls nearer, the campaigning has increased ten folds from both parties. The white gloves are off and the mud slinging has begun for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. And that influence has trickled down to everything including the world of MCU. Last week saw Avengers director Joss Whedon rolling out his “Save the Day” campaign that enlisted stars like Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johanssen, and Mark Ruffalo urge young Americans to vote while underhandedly sending the message that it should not be Trump.

Whedon continued this campaigning in a Facebook Q&A session where he also answered a fun question brought about by a fan- Which Avenger would make a good President? Whedon was not hesitant with his answer when he replied:

“I think I’m probably gonna have to go with Hawkeye, a man who is grounded. He not only has family values, he actually has a family.”

Whedon also discussed how other Avenger members were not up to par when it came to running a country:
“Every other Avenger, let’s face it, they’re a little out there,” Whedon said. “They’re a little bit disconnected from the real world.”
Whedon also revealed who should never be President from the Avengers:

“Definitely don’t want Tony Stark to be President.”

Bruce Banner was also mentioned in Whedon’s list of who should never be President. Banner, though a genius had too much of a temper to run a country. Marvel comics has also just released a new comic book written by Christopher Hastings. The comic book is a satire which sees Thor’s mischievous brother Loki running for President of the U.S.A. The God of Mischief’s Presidential campaign has many parallels with Donald Trump’s campaign. So, at this point, we can conclude that MCU is not for Donald Trump as their new President of the free world.
