Film Studios loves making movie sequels. But filming a sequel is not an easy job it becomes tougher if the first one was a major hit. Then you have to live up to the expectation of the audience or sometimes have to perform better than the first one. Here are 6 movie sequels that fans are waiting and wanting.
1) The Big Lebowski
When the Big Lebowski were released in 1998, there was the huge fan following of this movie. The annual fest where there in name of Lebowski, people used to dress up like their favorite characters and drink white Russians. The film’s influence on pop culture is undeniable.
2) Fight club
Based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk. The film’s anti-consumer is message is as relevant as today. Palahniuk has written a sequel in the form of a comic book, but a movie version is yet to happen.
3) The Fifth Element
The film has its share of haters. Despite being divisive no one can deny its popularity and influence. There were rumors of a sequel Mr. Shadow, but the director had denied all the rumors. It means if you want to see sequel then you have to wait.
4) Reservoir Dogs
It was released almost 25 years ago. But still, it has a huge fan following. Writer and director Quentin Tarantino have said that he will likely make only 10 films. The director has also revealed that he had thought of a sequel that involves Vega Brothers.
5) Blade Runner
There are three authorized novels that continue the action in the film. In 2009, there was a sequel but that project failed to launch. Then in 2015, it was announced that sequel would be made.
6) Inception
Inception blew everyone’s mind in 2010. Director Chris Nolan isn’t afraid of sequels, given the Dark Knight trilogy and said that he imagined the inception universe as a place.
