Dwayne Johnson Clarifies New ‘JUMANJI’ Will Be A Sequel

Dwayne Johnson has clarified that the new ‘Jumanji’ movie will not be a reboot, it will be a continuing sequel of the 1995 movie starring late Robin Williams.

“Yo.. Lots of positive 👍🏾 chatter now on something I should’ve clarified months ago when we announced we were making JUMANJI.”

“ This new movie will NOT be a remake or reboot of the original. It will be a CONTINUATION of the awesome JUMANJI adventure 20 years later,” he adds.

The actor has also confirmed that he will be producing the movie. He said he will honor the character of Alan Parrish, a 12-year old character in 1995 movie who gets trapped in a board game while playing with his best friend Sarah Whittle.

“As a producer on this movie and someone who loves the original, you have my word we’ll honor the legend of “Alan Parrish” and properly introduce a whole new generation to the fun and crazy JUMANJI universe that so many of us loved and grew up on.” he continues.

“Our director Jake Kasdan and lead producer Matt Tohlmach are focused and ready go.”

It seems like Johnson is full of the joys of spring about the movie, the movie has two more fun elements which include ‘Central Intelligence’ star Kevin Hart and ‘The School of Rock’ actor Jack Black.

“They also have no f*cking idea what they’ve gotten themselves into by hiring Me, Kevin Hart and Jack Black aka “The Cray Cray Triplets” as the stars of this movie.”

Man, these three would definitely be giving us a roller coaster ride. So peeps, fasten your seatbelt and get ready for the showtime. The shooting is scheduled to begin in next 4 weeks.

Well, Hart seems to be really excited about it. He posted a video message for Johnson. “ Message to my Brother @therock …….We made History with “Central Intelligence” which means that we have to do it bigger and better with “Jumanji”……WE DON’T STOP DAMN IT!!!” wrote Hart in an Instagram post.
