John Barrowman is now the Series regular for all CW Superhero shows

He plays the character Malcolm Merlyn in the popular CW superhero show ‘Arrow’ which brought him enormous fame & fortune. Malcolm Merlyn is a mischievous man who can’t be trusted. He was consumed by murderous rage wanted to wipe out “Glades” off the Starling city’s map through the “Undertaking”, instead he lost his son Tommy Merlyn. He became the Ra’s Al Ghul (heir to the demon) until the league was disbanded by Nyssa Al Ghul. He joined hands with Damien Darhk during Project Genesis which is about the total destruction of the world as we know it through a nuclear holocaust and mark a new beginning. The arrangements were made for an evacuating select group of people before the planet is enveloped by mushroom clouds. Malcolm Merlyn ensured that her daughter Thea would remain safe as she is now in a perfectly habitable city beneath an aerial dome which separates it from above. He is willing to go to extreme lengths to keep his daughter safe, that’s perhaps his only redeeming quality.

According to TVLine, John Barrowman has been offered a contract akin to Wentworth Miller wherein he will continue to appear on Arrow, but he will be given a series regular status across all the CW/DC superhero shows like Flash, Legends of Tomorrow etc. John Barrowman was the primary adversary in Arrow season 1, came back in season 2, and was made a series regular from season 3 onwards. In season 4, he appeared on The Flash during the crossover episode featuring Vandal Savage as the big villain and had a brief role in CW’s Reign as Scottish clan leader Munro.

Greg Berlanti (executive producer) said in May “What it really emulates to us is the comic books themselves, where there really are a cast of characters. In success, we hope to continue with other characters finding their way across all the shows.”

Can this work wonders for CW shows in the upcoming season?
