Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is all ready to wrap up its production, while doing so we have a few bits and pieces of the synopsis, along with what to expect in the upcoming movie.
We do know for sure that the story would pretty much pick up after the events of the first movie. Though the storyline is not clear and Marvel has been hush-hush about it, but we do know that the movie would revolve around Peter Quills parentage. It would not focus much on the Infinity Stones and there are chances that we might not see much of Thanos as well. Marvel is trying to keep fewer characters this time round, this is only to reduce the confusion.
“Guardians of the Galaxy continues its team adventures as they traverse the other reaches of the cosmos. The guardians must fight to keep their new found family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quills true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan favorite from the original comics will come to our hero’s aid as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand.”
With a lot of talks about Avengers making an appearance in the Guardians of the Galaxy, well it would not happen as confirmed by Gunn. Rest assured you can see some villainous roles coming up with some rearing ugly heads.
Thanos daughter Nebula would take the center stage in this movie, Gunn saying: “Nebula is an important character.” Groot, meanwhile, will have a smaller role (so to speak), with Baby Groot very much still around, having not grown fully by the time we next see him. Drax and Baby G – as no-one calls him – will continue to not get along.”
We do know for sure that Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot would be joining forces while they are in prison and that their adventure has something to do with a mysterious orb, but that was pretty much it. The only person not returning from the sequel is Benicio Del Toro’s creepy character the Collector.
Mantis would be played by Pom Klementieff – a psychic woman born the prophesied savior of a race of alien trees, who gained her powers as the result of an alien experiment.
Of course, Kurt Russell is a part of the movie playing the role of Star-Lords dad. More information on Russell would be shared shortly. With a cameo by Sylvester Stallone. Apart from this Marvel has been very discreet when it comes to sharing other details.
We can definitely look forward to some awesome Mixtape Number 2. James Gunn said that he had tons of ideas when it came to the music of the movie, which people can relate to and over the time will be a fan favorite in the long run.
“It’s already in my head, and every song is in the script, just as I did in the first movie,” according to Gunn, as revealed on Facebook. “I pick every song myself”. “There has never been any input from anyone else.”
Guardians of the Galaxy turned out to be a major hit at the box office, earning some raving reviews in 2014. We surely are anticipating Guardians of the Galaxy 2 provide the same kind of cinematic experience as it did in its first part.
