San Diego Comic-Con 2016 has a surprise for Doctor Strange fans

To make things interesting for fans, Comic-Con has now started distributing posters about the convention, more like a puzzle poster. Marvel gives out a new poster each day and by the end of Comic-Con, you can assemble these puzzle posters to get the story or a hint of the next movie to come. Marvel does a pretty nice job with this and has been a success over the years.

The new poster that would be available in the booth, this time, is of Doctor Strange, the very own Sorcerer Supreme in action. The poster in itself look attractive and we do hope that some of the vibes and brightness of the poster is captured in the movie itself.

So far the concepts for Doctor Strange haven’t been clear as the poster says one story while the teaser has something different to offer. Instead, we are hoping to see more of warcraft with copious use of magic in it. We would love to see a lot of symbols and energy in the air when it comes to the movie.

Benedict Cumberbatch who plays the role of Doctor Strange is said to be in search of the woman who bears the Eye of Agamotto, with all its supernatural power. The Masters of Mystic Arts come after her to reclaim the weapon since they do not find her loathsome to hold the power of the device. This pretty much indicates the fact that Doctor Strange isn’t the first to use the Eye of Agamotto, and was in fact heralded by someone who abused the power.

Fans of Doctor Strange believe that the Eye of Agamotto is one of the Infinity Stones of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Time Stone in particular.

Moving on, we do know from Doctor Strange prequel comics that Mikkelsen is playing Kaecilius, the main villain of the movie. Kaecilius was a high-ranking sorcerer fighting alongside Wong and the mystics. He is defeated after transmitting himself to investigate the theft, and returns with magical powers which take him to the dark side. While his teammates use staffs as weapons, Kaecilius is seen using two Scythe-like daggers.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

While the first part of this prequel comic book is written by Will Corona Pilgrim along with art by Jorge Fornes. It tells us the story of the masters of mystic arts, led by Benedict Wong, as they investigate an ancient relic stolen from the British Museum by a mysterious sorceress.

The Doctor Strange cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Rachel McAdams, playing the role of Night Nurse, Michael Stuhlbarg, Amy Landecker and Scott Adkins.

Directed by Scott Derrick son who also co-wrote the script with C. Robert Cargill, based on the Marvel Comics. The movie will hit the theaters on November 4, 2016.
